NS Chaturved | winning skipper and MOM: I felt very good as we needed some momentum towards the end of the innings. I am very happy I could do it. Fielding, there were a few lapses. But we had a good game in all departments. We needed some depth in the batting and hence Arun was batting down the order.
N S Chaturved is the Man of the Match for his knock of 41* off 23 balls.
M Mohammed | Losing Captain: It was a good wicket to bat on but they get too many runs on the board. We made too many mistakes and it cost us. The next game is now kind of do-or-die and we will go all out. Was a bad day today but Rajkumar's batting was a positive for us.

Akshay: Tiruppur Tamizhans skipper Mohammed won the toss and opted to bowl first. Madurai Panthers got off to a steady start with Sugenthiran losing his wicket in the fifth over. Praveen Kumar and Anirudh Sita Ram stitched a good partnership in the middle but both departed on successive balls in the 13th over with 89 on the board. Jagatheesan Kousik and skipper N S Chaturved joined hands as they started positively for the Panthers. They started finding the fence regularly as the Tamizhans bowlers were suddenly short of plans. They both put 78 for the fourth wicket in just 42 balls. Kousik scored 40 off 20 balls and Chaturved remained unbeaten on 41 off 23 balls. 78 runs were scored in the last five overs. The late assault powered the Panthers to 184/4 in 20 overs.
Akshay: Chasing 185, the Tamizhans were pegged back in the first over as Silambarasan knocked over Dinesh in the first over. Aravind was run out courtesy of some brilliance in the field in the fourth over. The pressure kept building as Bafna too succumbed to it in the fifth over. They were reeling at 35/4 at the end of the powerplay. Francis Rokins was removed by Srinivasan in the very next over for 7. The scoreboard pressure led to their downfall as they lost seven wickets at the halfway stage. The chase seemed over for them. Rajkumar hit some lusty blows for them, top-scoring with 42 but the total was too much for them as they were bundled out for 103 in the end.
Akshay: A clinical performance from the Madurai Panthers. They were exceptional with both bat and ball as the Tiruppur Tamizhans never stood a chance in the game. The Panthers batsmen stepped up later in the innings as they posted 184 on the board. Defending it, the bowlers were sensational as they knocked over Tamizhans for 103 in 17.2 overs. Silambarasan, Gowtham, and Srinivasan picked two wickets each as they defeated the Tamizhans by 81 runs. With this win, they keep themselves alive in the competition.
