Hari Nishanth | Dindigul Dragons (winning) captain: The toss is vital on this wicket, and we had a decent powerplay, and I should have batted slowly, which is one regret we have. Our bowlers are talented and they showed it on the big stage. It's good to have a different performer in every game, and we can't be over-reliant on the same player throughout.

Mokit Hariharan | Man of the Match: Special one for me. First two matches I didn't perform but the coach and the captain backed me. The plan was to chat regularly and bat through. Hope to continue the form for the rest of the season.

Rahil Shah | Ruby Trichy Warriors (losing) captain: I think we were 10 runs short. 150 was about par. I spoke about coming hard in the first six overs. After the powerplay we came back hard. A few lapses in fielding and some errors, but we fought well. Our powerplay we played too many dot balls, and we let down a few fielding chances too.

Akshay: Dindigul Dragons skipper Hari Nishaanth won the toss and opted to bowl first. The decision paid off as the bowlers kept bowling at good lines and lengths and didn’t allow the Warriors batsmen to get going. They managed to score only 35 runs in the powerplay. The Dragons removed both the openers in the next two overs as the Warriors were on the backfoot. Nidhish Rajagopal steadied the innings as he scored 45 runs off 33 balls. He was well-supported by Muhammed Khan from the other end. But the Dragons bounced back into the game as they picked wickets in the death overs restricting the Warriors to 145 in their 20 overs. Gurjapneet picked two wickets for the Dragons and Suthesh, Swaminathan, and Vivek picked a wicket each. The target didn’t prove to be enough as the Dragons chased down the total in the last over.

Akshay: Dragons struggled in the middle phase of the innings as the spinners in Mathivannan and Rahil Shah kept the lid on the scoring rate. Mathivannan picked a wicket whereas the skipper picked two scalps. Hariharan stood tall from one end as he hit some lusty blows in crunch situations. The Warriors failed to hold their nerve in pressure situations as a couple of misfields allowed the required run rate to fall below 6. In the end, Hariharan remained unbeaten and got his side across the line.

Akshay: Chasing 146, the Dindigul Dragons got off to a solid start. Skipper Hari Nishaanth and Arun got off them to a flyer as the former was striking the ball cleanly. He continued his merry way as the Dragons scored 50 runs in the powerplay. Nishaanth played some beautiful strokes in his innings. The Warriors managed to break the opening stand in the 9th over as Arun departed for 19. Hari Nishaanth was removed by Mathivannan in the 11th over for 38. This wicket brought the Warriors back in the game.

Akshay: A comprehensive performance from the Dragons as they go past Warriors in the last over. There were hiccups in the chase but Mokit Hariharan played a sensible knock and ensured that they get across the line. He remained unbeaten on 41 off 26 balls and helped his side win the second game of this edition.

19.2 Khan to S Swaminathan

4 FOUR!!! That is the game for Dragons. Short outside off, Swaminathan goes deep in the crease and cuts it hard past point for a boundary. They beat the Warriors by 5 wickets with four balls to spare.

19.1 Khan to Hariharan

1 Dropped!!!! Khan drops it short on the stumps, Hariharan goes for the glory shot as he rocks back and pulls it towards deep mid wicket where the fielder moves to his left and dives but fails to grab it. Single taken.
