Milestone
That's all for the coverage of this game. Do join us for our special IPL coverage. Also, do not forget to join us on the 30th for India Women's first ever Pink Ball Test. This was us - Arjun Bhalla, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and Anurag Singh. See you all around!
Mithali Raj | Winning captain: We are just happy that we have won the last game, just told the girls that we need to put up a A-grad performance, so happy with the victory. It's good to have a little bit of depth in the batting order, we tried the combinations with all-rounders and it worked. Pooja got runs and crucial wickets, Shafali was good and Sneh Rana did really well. It was important to bounce back from the second match, that loss hurt us, it was good to chase, we are good in that, but I think the last game gave us confidence going into today's encounter.
Meg Lanning | Australia captain: It was a great contest. We had our chances, we couldn't take it. India came out really well with the ball and kept fighting with the bat, so they deserved this win. I knew she (Molineux) would be coming back, she's a tough character. It was brave to bowl those last few overs, full credit to her. We were running out of players at one point. We didn't get the win but there were a lot of positives.
Jhulan Goswami | Player of the Match: We were just trying to win the game, try to stay there and finish the game. We lost the last match by a narrow margin, but today was a new day, I wanted to keep the ball in the right area and if I did that, I knew I could get breakthroughs. That was what I did. It's important to give your best in the field, take positives and that's what I want to do as a senior. Lots of aches in my body, need time to recover, but we're looking forward to be a part of the pink-ball Test.
2000: India end Australia's 16-Test winning streak.
2008: India end Australia's 16-Test winning streak.
2021: India end Australia's 26-ODI winning streak.

FINALLY! FINALLY! FINALLY! A victory for India. An emotional yet inspiring moment for every Indian cricket fan. These Women in Blue led by Mithali Raj have broken Australia's 26 ODI winning streak. A very, very famous win here in MacKay. Take a bow, India. Take a bow, ladies. We need to stand and applaud this effort by the visiting team! Truly, a special win.

It was a complete team performance by India as bowlers and batter complimented each other in outsmarting the enviable Australians. The visitors first restricted the outfit in Yellow & Gold to 248/6, that too on a batting paradise. All was then left on the batters to bat deep to fancy this chase.

The ace openers - Smriti and Shafali gave India a solid foundation, notching 59-run stand for the first wicket. Mandhana was removed by Molineux, but only to bring Yastika Bhatia to the middle. The two Indian young forces batted superbly and gave away not even a single chance in their 101-run stand.

However, Meg Lanning’s bowlers found their way to break the partnership as the host side initiated a collapse by ripping off Shafali and Richa Ghosh. Skipper Mithali then joined Yastika in the rescue, but the younggun couldn't last long. Skip got tangled initially, but found her way to score runs and runs at the required rate.

When everything was looking fine for India, Sutherland broke two quick wickets in the form of Mithali and Vatsakar. It was then Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana's turn to showcase their prowesses. They duo put their foot on the gas and thrash some highlight-worth boundaries. The cricket game, which was like a seesaw, turned on its head again. Deepti and Sneh were removed inches before the victory.

Although, in hindsight, it seems Jhulan Goswami - who was the most unfortunate cricketer in the second ODI - notched the winning boundary for INDIA! Women in Blue have scored their highest-ever successful chase in ODIs.

49.3 S Molineux to J Goswami
4 FOURR!! India break the 26-game unbeaten run of Australia and end the ODI series on a high. Tossed up in the middle to Goswami who shimmies down the track and uses the long lever to deposit the ball over the bowler's head for a boundary. Amazing scenes at Mackay..
49.2 S Molineux to M Singh
1 A crucial single. Fires in a flatter and fuller one into Meghna who sweeps it to the on side and takes a single.
49.1 S Molineux to M Singh
0 Swings across the wide length delivery but finds the mid wicket fielder.

Arjun: Another twist in the tale. Sneh Rana holes out to deep backward square leg. Carey does here. India still need 6 off 8, Australia are finding their way in the game.
48.4 N Carey to S Rana
W OUTT!! Another spectacular catch at the deep and the key wicket of Sneh Rana falls. Bangs in a superb short one onto Rana who gets a top edge on the pull to the deep square leg region where Darlington dives forward and gobbles it.
48.3 N Carey to S Rana
0 A precious dot for the Aussies. Slower length delivery in the channel. Rana runs it down straight to short third man.
48.2 N Carey to J Goswami
1 Goswami returns the strike to Rana. Full outside off to Goswami who miscues the slog to long for a single.
48.1 N Carey to S Rana
1 A full toss to start off onto Rana who helps it on its way to deep square leg for one.
