That's all for the coverage of this game. Do join us for the commentary of the second ODI of the series, but before that keep a tab on our special IPL coverage. This was Arjun Bhalla, Anurag Dasgupta and Anurag Singh. See you all around!
Beth Mooney | Player of the Match: To be honest I was disappointed that we left 13 runs for the last over, but credit to Nic (Carey), it was a great partnership in the end. I thought we got really great plans. I was a bit lucky that I had a bit left in the tank there because we had to run hard. I probably had the best pre-season, credit to the CA support staff, was able to prepare myself. I do like batting as an opener. But I'm a big fan of Rachael and Healy who bat at the top.
Beth Mooney gets the much-deserving Player of the Match award for her brilliant unbeaten century.
Mitali Raj: This was a great game of cricket from both the teams. It was a great cricket display with almost 550 runs scored. We still want to win the next game, I don't say it's a dead rubber. The batting department has done well, Smriti and Richa have really well played. For me it was a nervous last ball, because anything would have happened. Didn't expect a no ball, but it's a game after all. We were edge of our seats on the last ball. We definitely will continue to put up a show like we did today.
Meg Lanning: It was pretty stressful watching (the last over). We obviously lost early wickets as there movement out there, but I thought India bowled pretty well. We wanted to get it down to nine or ten (runs rate) in the last 10 overs and we managed to do that. The way the game finished, it was quite incredible. We got that depth in the team, we got that batting and bowling and you have seen that in the first two games. A batter going up from number 5 to open the innings, this shows the versatility in the group. India played well for majority of the game, but we found out a way and win. It's certainly the most eventful game we have played in this winning streak. Very lucky to come out on top today. We are looking forward to a really good contest in the third game.

That is it. 100 overs of the highest quality. Both India and Australia were extraordinary today. Indians did their best to challenge the Australian record winning streak, they almost broke the impossible. But Beth Mooney came in between. Wickets kept on falling in front of her, but the opener never lost her cool and applied herself to the conditions.

When the host nation were four-down inside 16 overs at the score of 52 runs, Mooney took the Australia ship forward alongside Tahlia McGrath. The duo stemmed a much-required 126-run partnership, where the latter played the aggressor. However, with almost 100 runs to get, Deepti Sharma brought the Indians back in the game by removing McGrath on 74.

Still, it wasn't like Mooney was left alone in the middle as Nicola Carey aided her in the last overs. She stood with the Aussie opener and never let the senior-pro take extra pressure on her shoulders. The southpaw duo took the chase as deep as they could, before notching boundaries on will. In the last over, India almost cliched the game - but destiny had different plans as Jhulam Goswami's last delivery of the 50th over was checked thoroughly and later signalled as no ball. Then Australia rode high on the luck as he grabbed a win from the throat of the Indian lionhearts.

All in all, the Aussie winning streak has not been broken, it has gone upto 26 ODIs now. You need to feel for Goswami. You need to feel for Smriti. You need to feel for Richa. You need to feel for Pooja. You need to feel for Meghna. You need to feel for MIthali. You need to feel for India. The ladies played their hearts out.

2 BRACE AND AUSTRALIA HAVE DONE IT. They rode high on luck throughout the game and finally they finished on the winning side after 100 overs of play. The 25 winning streak has not been broken, it has gone upto 26 ODIs now. You need to feel for Goswami. You need to feel for Smriti. You need to feel for Richa. You need to feel for Pooja. You need to feel for Meghna. You need to feel for MIthali. You need to feel for India. The ladies played their hearts out. Alas, luck didn't favour them in the end. Carey hit the winning runs off her blade and the Australia kangaroos were as sharp as a knife between the wicket as they completed a brace off a fumble from the fielder at long-on. AUSTRALIA WIN AN ABSOLUTE THRILLER! India's emotions have been robbed. That one will hurt. Australia won by 5 wickets.
Checking for no-ball. This can be a touch and go decision and it has been given a no-ball. What drama at the death!! Checking if single is taken or not. Yes, Single is not completed and 2 runs required off the last ball.
49.6 J Goswami to N Carey
NB GONE!!!!!! THE WILY FOX OF BENGAL HAS DONE IT FOR INDIA. High full toss delivery outside off, Carey shuffles and tries to get inside the line of the ball. She miscues the pull straight into the hands of square leg. AND WAIT FELLAS. They're checking this for a high full toss. UMM. This one is touch and go. LOOKS OKKISH TO ME! But that can be the Indian fan inside of me. They're still checking this!!! The 25-game winning streak is on the line. OH MY LORDDDDDDDD!!!!!! It has been called a NO BALLL!!! FREE HIT LOADING! The game is not over yet! And now they are checking how many runs Australia need to get. That's a million dollar question fellas. The single won't be counted. So it will be 2 needed off the final delivery!
Oh my, 3 needed off the last delivery. Don't rule out a Super Over...
49.5 J Goswami to N Carey
2 Holy lord. They take two runs. Good length ball, Carey steps across and miscues her hoick towards long-on and they capitalize on the fumble to get back for two. Super over, anyone?
49.4 J Goswami to B Mooney
1lb Full, Mooney shuffles across and looks for the scoop, gets off the thickish inside edge. A single down to fine leg now. Carey on strike. 5 off 2...
49.3 J Goswami to N Carey
1b Free hit ball and Jhulam Goswami nails a beauty here. A slower one under pressure. Down the leg as Carey shuffles in the leg side. The ball runs past here and they collect a bye off Richa's throw.
Singh: That must have slipped from Goswami's hands. Lands the beamer onto the shoulders of Carey. Nonetheless, a no-ball called so 7 required from the last 4.
49.3 J Goswami to N Carey
NB OHHHH! Nasty from the wily fox. Jhulam Goswami tries bowl a yorker, right on the money, but the wet kookabura ball slips off her palms. The ball hits Careey on the helmet. That must have hit her hard. NO BALL SIGNALLED OFCOURSE!!!
49.2 J Goswami to N Carey
2 Carey drags this full ball in the leg side. Goes through mid wicket. Australia run the first run hard and take on the throw as they complete the second one.
49.1 J Goswami to B Mooney
2+1 Jhulam Goswami to bowl the all important over. She loads a low full toss on the stumps. Mooney sits low and sweeps it down to deep square leg for a couple. Richa collects the ball and tries to run out Mooney but ends up giving them an extra run.
Australia need 13 runs off the last over. Can they do it? This is turning out to be a nerve-wrecking contest..
It looks like Jhulan Goswami will bowl the final over.
