Milestone
That's all for the coverage of this game. Do join us for the commentary of the second ODI of the series, which takes place on Friday. Till then, it's a ta-ta and a goodbye from me, Anurag Dasgupta and my co-commentators, Arjun Bhalla and Anurag Singh..
Meg Lanning | Australian skipper:

"Been a long time since we played cricket, so we were pretty excited. Brown was excellent. It was certainly some good stuff. I feel like we can fill the gaps, but it's nice to have such a dominant win. I thought the openers laid the platform."
Mithali Raj | Indian skipper:

"I think when you are put in to bat first, you need to put a good partnership. A lot more is expected of the bowling department, especially the spinners. They need to perform on these wickets. It wasn't a performance that wins the game for my team, I need to work on a few areas. There's a lot expected of the debutants."
Darcie Brown | Player of the Match:

"I was pretty lucky to get away with the half-trackers, and really grateful to get this opportunity. I was pretty nervous and hands were sweating a lot, but it was good fun. We just need to have some fun and need to do we what normally do."
Time for the presentation ceremony!!
DG: A total of 226 was never going to trouble this star-studded Australian lineup, and that's exactly what happened. It was an utterly dominant display from a side who hardly put a foot wrong in this game. The duo of Rachael Haynes and Alyssa Healy started the run-chase in grand fashion. The wicket had nothing for the pace bowlers and the two Aussie openers exploited the conditions really well and both of them reached the 2000-run mark in ODI cricket.

Healy was the aggressor early on in the innings as the dynamic batter bludgeoned her way to a remarkable run-a-ball 77, before Poonam Yadav dismissed her. Skipper Meg Lanning joined the party and looked comfortable right from the word go. In the meantime, Haynes quietly reached her fifty and remained not-out on 93. In the end, Australia chased down this total without breaking any sweat.

Earlier in the day, Australia won the toss and elected to bowl. india started off brightly, but the introduction of Darcie Brown changed the complexion of the game. She picked up 4 for 33 and tighten the screws on the Indian scoring rate. Debutant Hannah Darlington was quite impressive with the ball and as a result, India were restricted to just 225 on the board.
DG: And as expected, it was a walk in the park for the Aussies who have demolished the visitors by 9 wickets and have taken a 1-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series. It was a thorough professional performance from the hosts who outplayed the Indian side in all three departments of the game.

40.6 J Goswami to R Haynes
4 FOURRR!!! Juicy full toss by Goswami and Haynes smacks it down the ground to win the game for her side and taking the winning streak to 25 matches. Courtesy of a gift by Goswami and this also brings up the 100-run partnership by these two.
40.5 J Goswami to M Lanning
1 Punches the overpitched delivery down the ground for a single.
40.4 J Goswami to M Lanning
0 Very full angling into the right-hander. Lanning is watchful and blocks it right under her eyes.
40.3 J Goswami to M Lanning
4 FOURR!! Lanning brings up her fifty with a lovely straight drive. Low full toss around off to Lanning who just punches it with the full face of the bat past mid off for a boundary.
40.2 J Goswami to M Lanning
0 Length delivery angling into Lanning who defends it at the last moment.
40.1 J Goswami to M Lanning
0 Yorker in the blockhole, well dug out by Lanning.
