And that's goodbye from the comm box. I, Arjun Bhalla bid adieu on the behalf of my partners Anurag Dasgupta and Anurag Singh. See you all on the 24th with the live coverage of the Grand PSL Final between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans. Till then, enjoy OneCricket’s special coverage of the WTC Final, where both India and New Zealand are fighting hard to be the Ultimate Champions.
Wahab Riaz | Peshawar Zalmi skipper: The fans supported us, prayed for us. It was a difficult route we took to the final but it's a great feeling. My overs were very important and I knew they had batsmen down the order who can take the game away from you. So I was saving myself for the middle overs. We gave away some runs in the last few overs but the way we responded was great to see. There is no fear. They are playing very good cricket, so I'll just say the pressure is on them again. Let's see if they can handle it. The way my boys have played, they deserve the day off. They need to relax and prepare for the final.
Hazratullah Zazai | Player of the Match: My innings was crucial especially in a pressure game like this. After Kamran (Bhai) got out, I wanted to take the game deep and had the confidence to take on the bowlers later on. It's my natural game (to play big hits) and I enjoy playing those clear-the-front-leg shots. I always told myself to take time and the runs will come and the stiffness (cramps) didn't upset my concentration one bit.
Shadab Khan | Islamabad United skipper: We didn't put in the kind of performances (in the playoffs) that we were doing earlier. In these pressure games, it's important to have a grip on your nerves. Other teams played better than us, credit to them. The score of 170, especially that finish from Hasan Ali gave us momentum but we made small mistakes with the ball. And that catch of Zazai, if it had been taken, things could have been different. Lots of positives this season, hopefully, we will come back even stronger next year and try to make Islamabad a champion.
Arjun: As the match progressed, the pair from Peshawar found their rhythm, courtesy of some loosener by Ashraf and Shadab. Then they freed their arms against the opposition skipper, where they smashed the leggie for 21 runs in an over. After that hammering, no other bowler was given any respect. The duo went to score authoritative fifties and shared a belting 126-run stand between them. However, when the Zalmi were just 34 runs behind the score, Zazai lost his cool and chopped one off Junior, but it was too little and too late for the United. In the end, a quickfire 33 off just 10 deliveries ended the match with 19 balls still remaining.
Arjun: When Hasan Ali played the innings of his life of 45 from just 16 balls, all odds were up against Peshawar Zalmi. And to put them under tremendous pressure, the golden boy from the first innings started the second half of the match by bagging Karman Akmal’s wicket in the very first itself. The scoreboard pressure was clearly on the batting side as their man-in-form, Hazratullah Zazai was finding it impossible to put any bat on the ball. He alongside the debutant, Jonathan Wells seemed scratchy in the batting powerplay overs, but they decided to apply to the conditions.
Singh: Peshawar Zalmi make it to the 4th final in PSL's history and Malik does it in style.
16.5 H Ali to S Malik
4 Make it three in a row and Zalmi's have won this game in some some style!!! Lovely way to finish the innings. The dugout is happy and so they should be. Good length delivery, angling into Malik who pulls this one in front of the square to finish the game in style...
Malik seems to be in a hurry.
16.4 H Ali to S Malik
4 Four more!! The game is almost... almost done and dusted! Fuller on the off. Malik goes for the big hoick, but he gets the top edge as the ball flies over the short third man fielder for a second consecutive boundary in the over...
16.3 H Ali to S Malik
4 Cut away and cut away hard for four! This was a length delivery outside the off. Malik goes deep inside his crease and plays the late cut past deep backward point for a boundary....
16.2 H Ali to S Malik
2 Banged in short on the stumps. A well directed short delivery. Malik pulls it and has enough legs to go over the mid wicket fielder for a couple of runs..
16.1 H Ali to J Wells
1 Pulls the short of length delivery down to deep backward square to take a single.
Singh: The look on Sammy's face says it all. This is the most expensive spell from Shadab in PSL's history.

15.6 S Khan to S Malik
4 Four now!! These are easy pickings for the batters! Shadab Khan has been taken to cleaners! Flighted on the stumps. Malik dances down the track and lifts this over the bowlers' head for a boundary. One bounce and over the ropes...
15.5 S Khan to S Malik
6 Four and now a maximum! Zalmi's are looking to finish this one early. Floated around the off. Malik drags it from the off stump and heaves it towards deep mid wicket for his first maximum of the day...
15.4 S Khan to S Malik
4 Four!! Into the gap and that'll race away for a boundary. Googly on the off. Malik rocks back and cuts it ferociously away from the point fielder for a boundary..
15.3 S Khan to S Malik
2 Low full toss on the stumps. Malik whips it away from the long on fielder and will come back for two.
15.2 S Khan to J Wells
1 Clips the length delivery down the leg side to rotate the strike. Just 29 required off 28.
