DG: An entertaining Test match comes to an end. Both teams have shared two points and the caravan will now shift towards the ODI series. England will have to win that series 3-0 or even 2-0 to reclaim the Ashes. Hope you enjoyed our coverage for this riveting Test match. Till the next time, it's a ta-ta and a bbye from me, Anurag Dasgupta and my co-commentators, Anmol Ahuja, AkshayaKrishna Polya and our scorer Ashok.
Meg Lanning, Captain Australia: " I still didn't know what happened in the last hour. We declared wanting to take the 10 wickets. But England batted really well. We are not relying on one or two players. Sutherland was fantastic. Alana King too did well. I will take a few days off now. Looking forward for the ODI's now."
Heather Knight, Player of the Match & Captain England: " Yes, I had some success here. Brilliant test match and kudos to Australia for playing for the brilliant come back. A brilliant test match that gone down the wire. Yeah, it's difficult to do both with the bat and bowl. Slight niggle in the leg. Brunt, she is brilliant. Bowled well and doing these all these years for us. All of us happy as we go toe to toe with the Aussies."
DG: England survive!! The most dramatic Test match I have ever witnessed. This was a great see-saw battle and after four hard-fought days, the game ends in a draw. This has to be one of the greatest women's Test match ever. It had drama, it had great turning points and in the end both teams will share equal points.

This was the literal meaning of a topsy-turvy game. At one stage, Australia had the upper hand, then England fought back and were on the verge of a famous victory, but Australia roared back strongly to deny it. England were set a target of 257, which by no means was an easy feat to achieve. A sporting declaration opened the playing field and England came out all guns blazing with a positive frame of mind.

Lauren Winfield and Tammy Beaumont laid a perfect platform for the middle order batters to capitalize on. The opening duo added 52 for the first wicket and made their intentions pretty clear. Skipper Heather Knight continued her good work from the first innings and never let the momentum shift towards the opposition. Despite the openers being back in the hut, England continued their march towards the target and at one stage it looked like an ODI game taking place.

Sciver, Knight and Dunkley played their roles to perfection and had England on the verge of a historic win. But once Sciver departed for 58, Australia seized the opportunity and wickets started to tumble at regular intervals. They tighten the screws on the scoring rate and England batters played a dozen false shots to throw their wickets away. They had a mini collapse, losing 6 for 27 and it looked like Australia will walk away with an unlikely win. But Cross and Ecclestone decided to block the last 12 deliveries and escaped from the jaws of defeat.
