So that's it then from this match. It's good bye from us. This is AkshayaKrishna Polya who was with Badal Pareek as we brought all the live actions from this fascinating game. Our scorer was Vishnu. We will meet in the next game. Until then, it's cheers...!
Glenn Maxwell | Player of the match: "It was really nice to bat out in the middle. Inglis came out and was positive, His range and clean hitting. His clarity and calmness is wonderful. I just played my role and kept rotating the strike, and focused on not playing too many dots. We knew he was going to have a great future, he was a part of our world cup squad. Nice to hit the stumps and get the wicket for the team."
Aaron Finch | Winning Captain: "Our bowlers got shuffled a tad today which is a good thing for us. He bowled extremely well today for his figures of 4-0-14-1(talking about Agar). He also bats well and a good all rounder for us. It was just a experimenting(on Agar opening the innings).  He and Wade are good batters at 6 and 7. We saw Wade's innings in the semis. Not bad(laughs about Maxwell's contribution). Yeah, he always contributes. Today with bat majorly. He bowled well initially today. Thanks."
Dasun Shanka | Losing Captain: "There were a few positive. Not enough total on the board. Kumara was a part of our world cup campaign interesting to see how he has come back. All the bowlers were good today, they all did their best. It is always nice to play at the MCG. I would like to thank the people who came in numbers today."
Time for the presentation here.
Earlier, the Aussies won the toss and put Sri Lanka in. They started well initially in the first 15 overs. All the top 4 batters got starts but they failed to carry one. Gunathialka lost his cool after he was facing back-to-back dot balls from Agar and played a loose shot at his core of 17 runs. Mendis looked good for his 27 before he was sent back by a brilliant direct hit from Maxwell. Nissanka played well before he was stumped by Wade. He scored 46 runs from 40 balls. Asalanka played well for his 22 but didn't get the scoring rate high enough.

They were 110/2 after 15.3 overs and this was the time when the Aussies took control as they took the next 6 wickets for just 12 runs. Agar, Kane Richardson, Jhye Richardson, and Zampa bowled extremely tight in the middle and end overs to restrict the opponents.

The last over bowled by Kane Richardson yielded 17 runs which took the Lankans close to 140. They finished on 139/8 after 20 overs.

Agar's figures read 4-0-14-1 while Jhye Richardson took 2 wickets. Zampa bowled well for his wicket. Kane Richardson was expensive but took two crucial wickets.
Chasing a target of 140 was never really a tough ask for this Aussie firepower. But they didn't get off to a flier. McDermott and Agar struggled their way out when they opened the innings. Sri Lanka executed their plans and bowled some cutters, and slower delivers along with quick bumpers to stop the Aussies.  Initially, this plan worked but as the match progressed they were negated by Maxi and Inglis.

McDermott was the first one to go at his score of just 9 runs. Finch's poor run with the bat continued today as well. Agar scored 26 runs but took 31 balls for that. He struggled to find the middle of the bat and finally top-edged one to mid-off.

At this point, when the team score was 49/3 after 8.3 overs Maxwell joined hands with Josh Inglis to take the team to a comfortable position. Inglis was the aggressor, and Maxwell was the anchor. They added 71 for the fourth wicket. Inglis edged one to the keeper when he was batting so elegantly on 40 from just 20 balls which included 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Later Stoinis and Maxwell finished the match with 11 balls remaining. Maxwell was unbeaten on 48 off 39 balls.

Lahiru Kumara bowled well for his figures of 4-0-22-2. Theekshana and Chameera took a wicket each in his support but the score was not enough, and they couldn't defend it.
With that boundary towards deep square leg area Australia win this match by 6 wickets. Maxwell played with responsibility to be there till the end. Inglis earlier played aggressively to help them win. Sri Lanka now have a white wash to avoid on Sunday. They are 0-4 down in the series.

4 Maxwell finishes it off in style. Four! Short pitch delivery on the stumps, Maxwell gets into position nice and early to pull it towards deep mid-wicket for a boundary. Australia won by 6 wickets. They are 4-0 up in the 5 matches T20I series.
