Milestone
So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Anurag Singh and Arijit Gupta. Switch over to the second game between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders.
Sanju Samson - Surely, a few runs short, maybe around 20-25 runs short. We were going on nicely (with the bat), but didn't finish well. The bowlers have been doing their job well, but as batsmen, we need to get them a good score to defend. It was a good wicket, the ball was coming on nicely and they (MI) batted really well, as a team, we will need to score more runs as a batting group. Trust yourself, play positive and fearless cricket - that's all one should do.
De Kock and Krunal didn't spare any part of the fence as RR lacked a potent wicket-taking threat. Krunal got out off Mustafizur Rahman's bowling with 26 runs yet to be achieved but Keiron Pollard made easy work off it with one six and two boundaries. In the end, MI reached the target with nine balls to spare.
Chasing 172 for their third victory, Mumbai Indians got off to a brilliant start even as Rohit Sharma struggled during his 17-ball 14. Quinton de Kock put behind his string of low scores and came out with an aggressive approach in order to get over the asking rate. Even after Rohit got out in the 6th over, SKY came in and helped De Kock maintain the momentum. SKY departed for a breezy 10-ball 16 but Krunal Pandya stitched a superb 63-run partnership with the South African opener.
Easy peasy seven-wicket win for Mumbai Indians in the end. Rajasthan Royals' 171-run total was never going to be enough and MI have proved that in an emphatic fashion. The Men in Pink started well through the duo of Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal stitched a 66-run opening partnership. The skipper Sanju Samson came in and showed a lot of intent too as RR kept the run-rate up and running. However, Shivam Dube's sedate knock took away a lot of sting from the innings. In the end, the duo of Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah bowled superbly during the death overs to restrict RR to a below-par total
18.3 Mustafizur Rahman to Kieron Pollard
4 Pitched upwards one again on the line of middle and leg. The batsman tickles it finer and the ball races towards the boundary ropes. here comes the winning runs and Mumbai Indians experience a comeback triumph.
Karthik: Mumbai Indians have show how easy this pitch is for batting. RR really struggled with the bat during the middle-over phase
18.2 Mustafizur Rahman to Quinton de Kock
1 Low full toss on the middle and leg, the batsman, flicks it to mid wicket for a single.
18.1 Mustafizur Rahman to Quinton de Kock
4 Slower one pitched away from the left hander and the batsman drives it beautifully for a boundary down deep extra cover. This is elegant batting from De kock tonight.

17.6 Chris Morris to Quinton de Kock
1 Length delivery near the 4th stump and the batsman slices it on top of the bounce for a single down point.
17.5 Chris Morris to Kieron Pollard
1 Back of a length delivery outside the off stump and the batsman guides it to 3rd man for a single. A late cut on the slower one and Pollard goes off the mark.
17.4 Chris Morris to Kieron Pollard
0 Quicker and fuller away from the right hander. The batsman nudges it near the point region for a dot.
Anurag Singh: What has happened here!! Pollard trying to duck, the ball hits the helmet and he is pleading for the ball to reach the fence. Fist pumps Morris after that boundary. All in good spirit.
17.3 Chris Morris to Kieron Pollard
4lb Attempts a bouncer which jags to hit bent pollard in the helmet. The ball flies finer and races towards the ropes.
17.2 Chris Morris to Kieron Pollard
4 Attempted yorker converted into a low full toss and the batsman shuffles across and guides the cork into the gaps for a four. The batsman places it beautifully between cover and extra covers and there is no room for the sprinting fielders arriving from either ends.
Karthik: Incredible shot from Pollard off just his third delivery. It wasn't even a slot delivery. A short of a length delivery has been spanked over extra-cover with ease
17.1 Chris Morris to Kieron Pollard
6 Just used the pace effortlesly here. Short of full pitched delivery from Chris Morris , way outside the off stump. Pollard airs it beautifully over the deep extra cover region and gets a over boundary. He has just creamed it with ease.
