Milestone
So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Akshay Bhide and Arjun Bhalla from this match. Stay tuned to OneCricket's coverage of the remainder of the IPL too
Eoin Morgan: Wins haven't been easy to come by. Have worked incredibly hard. Today, along with a bit of luck, the performance was very impressive particularly with the ball upfront. When the wicket's like that - from the 12th over of our innings, the ball was sliding on. Only his second game this season (Mavi). The match-up against Gayle was favourable. He bowled well in the last game and started well here. For him to make an impact is huge credit to him. The advantage we have over most spinners is that our spinners are variation bowlers. They don't rely on drift and turn. They control their lengths well and rely on a tiny amount of turn and today they were exceptional. Lot of time to go in the tournament. Hopefully today can kick-start something for us. Certainly think it's challenging and it does have to be managed for players, coaching staff. When you consider the horrific nature of what's happening outside the bubble, we try and lend our support and encouragement for everything that's going on not only in India but around the world. If you're going out stay safe, wear a mask, social distance. We've seen first hand at home how devastating it can be. On behalf of KKR we wish everyone well. Ultimately if we stick together we can beat this thing.
Rahul Tripathi: Feels nice that we’ve won the game. It was an important game for us after having lost three games in a row. Bowlers did extremely well to restrict them to a low total. We did lose early wickets but we knew that if we played proper cricketing shots, we could chase it down. Yes, the pitch did get a bit better in the second half but it was still two-paced and a bit slow. Yeah, I thought I was out (on that dive which saved him from a run out). Saw the throw coming and felt that I was a fraction late. Was a little upset but on seeing the replay, was really happy. I was set, wanted to take a chance against the offie. Probably should have gone harder, went half-hearted. Rash shot. Would have loved to carry on.
KL Rahul: It is never nice to be on the losing side. Don't know what to say. We should have adapted better. We could have applied lot more with the bat. Expect the boys to be smarter. Some soft dismissals have cost us the game. It was a bit two paced. Kept a little up down. Was tough to assess what are the high risk shots here. It is expected of good teams to adapt quicker. We need to keep our heads higher and keep trying. Bishnoi's catch was stunning. Especially when you have a coach like Jonty Rhodes, he puts us to tough tests and sees how every boy reacts. The training rubs on during match situations. Hopefully we can keep building and get better.
Tripathi holed out in the 11th over while Andre Russell got run-out after scoring ten runs but the experienced duo of Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik did well to see off the chase with 20 balls to spare. This is just their second victory from six matches and a crucial one at that which could probably pave way for a better second-half.
Defending such a low score, Punjab Kings got off to a fantastic start as Mohammad Shami dismissed Shubman Gill for nine while Nitish Rana bagged a golden duck by hitting a full-toss straight to Shahrukh Khan off Moises Henriques' bowling. Sunil Narine also didn't last long as he fell victim to a stunning catch from Ravi Bishnoi. However, the duo of Rahul Tripathi and Eoin Morgan refused to go into a shell. They counter-attacked to stitch a 66-run partnership
A fantastic way to cap off a comfortable five-wicket win in the end. KKR dominated this contest from start to finish although the chase didn't get off to the best possible beginning. The trio of Shivam Mavi, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy were extraordinary while Prasidh Krishna also bowled decently to take three wickets. In the end, Chris Jordan came up with a 30-run cameo but a total of 123-9 was always going to be short
16.4 Arshdeep Singh to Dinesh Karthik
4 Another back of length and this pull shot seals the deal for KKR. Outside off and the veteran from Tamil Nadu gets under that one and times the stroke to perfection as the ball runs past the deep mid wicket fence for a boundary and Kolkata have collected two more points!
16.3 Arshdeep Singh to Dinesh Karthik
2 Short delivery into DK and that man pulls it over mid wicket! No timing but the ball lands into the vacant area and KKR gather a couple more
16.2 Arshdeep Singh to Dinesh Karthik
4 Fuller delivery just outside off and DK is too good for this one! Gets to the pitch of the ball and drives it down the ground for a boundary to ease of the chase
16.1 Arshdeep Singh to Eoin Morgan
1 Slower back of a length into Morgan who stays on the back foot and then pulls it down to deep mid wicket to get off the stride on the first ball with a single. DK on strike now!

15.6 Deepak Hooda to Eoin Morgan
1 Length delivery and Morgan back foot punches it towards Hooda who misses to field the ball and they sneak a run from long-off region. That's what doctor ordered for KKR. Kolkata is back in the hunt
15.5 Deepak Hooda to Eoin Morgan
6 IN THE AIR AND DISPATCHED! Tossed up again outside the off-stump and this time Morgan chips this one over extra cover for a MAXIMUM
Karthik: Terrific shot from Eoin Morgan. Yes it was too full but Morgan manufactured it by moving to the leg-side.
15.4 Deepak Hooda to Eoin Morgan
4 Flighted! Fuller! Boundary! Morgan goes in the on side, makes room for himself and then drills the ball through covers
15.3 Deepak Hooda to Dinesh Karthik
1 Fuller onto the off for DK who presses forward to drive it firmly to long-on for an easy single
15.2 Deepak Hooda to Eoin Morgan
1 Length outside off and Morgan gets some bat to it as they get a single in the off side to get off the strike
15.1 Deepak Hooda to Eoin Morgan
0 Slower length delivery outside off from Morgan goes to cut but misses
