That is all from the commentary box for this match. Stay Safe and Take Care! This is Nikhil Kulkarni along with my co-commentators Vikhyat Jain and Kingshuk Kusari signing off.
Jadeja is the man of the match. No guesses there!
Dhoni: "Jaddu is somebody who can change the game on his own. In the last few years we've seen significant change in batting and it's worth it to give him that extra bit of time, extra deliveries. The bowlers have found it difficult to contain left-handers, and that helps as well. You can't really predict the quantum of victory. There's no control to how many runs or wickets. When we started we had the conversation about whether to bat or bowl. It's a good wicket but I felt the spinners had something up their sleeves and I felt that extra few runs Jadeja made helped. 165 would have been par, and once you get 25 extra the opposition has to come a little harder. You cannot make your strategy on the assumption of what dew will do - frankly, some games have been high scoring, some have been low scoring. You have to assess every game and today we made the right decision to bat. We're not doing anything drastically different from what we did last year. Me and Fleming, we keep saying that we focus on the process. You gain more respect if you keep following your path when you're under pressure. I think that is something that gave a lot of confidence to the players. Credit to the players. Everybody would have felt the pressure in the first game because it was a lean season."
Virat Kohli: "You have to look at it the right way. It's come at the right time for us. You have to understand the things that went wrong. I think this is positive feedback for our side. It's good to get a performance like this out of the way early in the season. We were there most of the moments in the game, but the key ones we lost badly. Jaddu displaying his skills took the game away from us. You can probably say one guy beat us. We will continue to give him responsibility (Harshal) he got both the set batsmen out and plucked all the momentum away. We have to look at this in the right way. Brush it aside and learn from it. We will continue to use guys at 3 because we have Maxi and AB to follow. We will continue to use that depth. We'll throw in guys there and ask them to change the game for us."
Nikhil: The talk of the innings was Jadeja. He was dropped on 0 by Christian. Jadeja was on 26 off 21 balls after the 19th over completion but that all changed in the last over as Jadeja smashed 37 runs of Harshal Patel over to finish on 62 off 28 balls. That onslaught from Jadeja helped Chennai post a massive total of 191.
Nikhil: Faf du Plessis and Gaikwad were aggressive at the start and charged down the wicket consistently to hammer the bowlers. Faf Du Plessis went onto make half-century. Raina played a good inning but got out on 24 and Rayudu was struggling after he pulled his hamstring while completing a second run and got out on 14.
Nikhil: Earlier today, MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first. CSK made two changes, Moeen was injured and Ngidi was left out. Bravo and Tahir were included in the playing 11. RCB made two changes bringing in Saini and Christian in place of Nadeem and Richardson.
Nikhil: Wickets just kept falling at the other end and RCB managed 122 in the end. It was Jadeja's brilliance that took the game away from RCB and they couldn't equal the Rajasthan Royals record of 5 consecutive wins in 2015. CSK moves to the top of the table with this win on basis of run rate.
Nikhil: Jadeja was quickly back in action after dismissing Maxwell as he resulted in a run-out. De Villiers played the ball to covers and called for a single but Jadeja fired in a direct hit at the keeper's end and Christian was well short of his crease. AB De Villiers was outfoxed in the next over by Jadeja. He bowled a length ball that dipped into the leg stump and turned quickly to crash on the middle stump. De Villiers came out of the crease to play at the one but was completely deceived.
Nikhil: Paddikal fell immediately after scoring 34 off 15 balls. Jadeja came into bowl and changed the course of the match. Sundar and Maxwell were dismissed in quick succession. Maxwell tried to slog sweep and missed it completely as the ball crashed to the leg stump. RCB were 79/4 and were struggling. They still had AB De Villiers and Christian at the crease.
Nikhil: RCB had the perfect start to the chase. Paddikal smashed the opening bowlers everywhere and RCB got to 44 in 3 overs. It all changed in no time for RCB. Virat Kohli was the first one to go as he tried to cut a slower back of a length ball of Curran and edged it to Dhoni.
Nikhil: The most anticipated clash today has resulted in a one-sided affair after Jadeja's brilliance with bat and ball. After posting a mammoth 191 on the board, CSK has won this match by 69 runs!
