That's all from the commentary box folks. Stay tuned for tomorrow's double-headers as RCB takes on KKR and Punjab challenges the Capitals. Till then it's ta-ta and good night from us, Arjun Bhalla, Akshay Bhide, and Anurag Dasgupta.
That's all we have from the Post-Match presentation ceremony.
Kieron Pollard: The situation of the game (dictates the batting order). We always have to be padded up. It's nice to see other guys also delivering, so not much pressure. Those runs at the end really helped us. You have to decide your strong areas (on such pitches) and see what you can do. We have to find ways. It was good to see the team finding a way to scrap a win. Hopefully this can take us through.
Kieron Pollard is the Player of the Match for his match-making innings of 35* off just 22 deliveries.
Rohit Sharma: It was a great effort from the bowling unit. We knew it wasn't going to be easy. On that pitch, when you're bowling well, it's not easy. I thought it was a good score on that pitch. You saw from both the teams, trying to capitalise on the powerplay. Having said that, I think we can bat better in the middle overs. All these guys have played a lot of cricket on pitches like these. So, there are areas to work on. At the same time, don't want to be too harsh on the guys. I think the pitch gets slower and slower. Rahul was turning the ball in his fourth over, which was the 12th or 13th over. That doesn't happen in Mumbai. The ball was reversing as well. The slowishness of the deck doesn't allow batsmen to come and slog straightaway. One set batter carrying through is needed, which is what's not happening for all of the teams that have played here. Polly has done it for so many years for us at the back end. We have the confidence in him. It's all about him getting some time in the middle. Our fielding was really good tonight, that's something we take pride in. Those run outs and also the catches.
Vijay Shankar holds the Upstox Most Valuable Asset of the Match Award. Gets a trophy and cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Another award for Jonny Bairstow as he is the Cred Powerplayer of the Match. Gets a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Jonny Bairstow collects another cheque of Rs 1 lakh as he bags the Unacademy Let's Crack it Sixes Award.
Trent Boult gets the Dream11 Game Changer of the Match Award. He collects a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Jonny Bairstow grabs the Safari Super Striker of the Match. He bags a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Jonny Bairstow takes the Vivo Perfect Catch of the Match Award. He gets a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Time for the Post-Match presentation ceremony.
Hardik Pandya: I don't spend much time on fielding, just make sure I'm ticking the boxes. To be honest, the run out of Warner I wasn't expecting he was that far. I threw it just to make sure the ball is getting old and then realised he was far outside. The powerplay I thought they were fantastic, credit goes to our bowlers. The experience that everyone as a unit showed, that's what matters. Whenever you get the opportunity you seize it and you win it. The kind of experience we have, lots of players go to the captain to give feedback and that helps.
David Warner: I don't know how to take that. Two of us got set, my run out, Jonny stepping on his wickets, and false shots in the middle proved that if you don't have two guys at the end, you don't win. These scores are very chaseable, it's just poor batting. If you get a partnership and have one guy at the end, you can chase down 150 easily. You just need smart cricket in the middle, we aren't doing that. I think our bowlers adapted well to this wicket, it's slower than the ones we played on earlier. We've got to learn from the mistakes and right now it's just the batsmen. We've got to take responsibility. Got to move forward, put some smiles on our faces. Have been speaking to the physio and Williamson is coming along nicely and I'm sure if he's ready to go he might get an opportunity.
Arjun: SRH needed 31 off the last 4 over but couldn't get over the line as they were up against the lethal death bowling duo of Bumrah-Boult. Samad and Shankar scored 25 runs off 17, before Hardik dislodged Samad’s stumps and the duo of Bumrah-Boult cleaned up the tail. In the end, Mumbai defended the target of 151 runs by 13 runs.
Arjun: Then came in the leggie to the party who removed the debutant, Virat, and Abhishek in a single over to finish a game-changing spell of 3 for 19. The ball was in the five-time champions’ court and they didn’t let the opposition get away from the trap.
Arjun: Virat Singh joined hands with his skipper to steady the sinking ship for SRH. The duo started rotating the strikes to lay a needed partnership but the idea of putting the pressure by taking quick singles, haunted SRH as they lost Warner, courtesy of a jaw-dropping run-out by Hardik.
Arjun: In the chase, Sunrisers had a quick-fiery start to the second innings as the opening duo of Warner and Bairstow gave them a start of 67 within first eight overs. However, the twist in the tale came when the latter was dismissed in a very awful manner. Soon followed, Pandey who became Chahar’s first man of the game.
Arjun: Mumbai Indians have crushed SRH in a chase of 151 runs. MI takes their second win, whereas, Sunrisers still have to open their account on the points table, after three games.
Arjun: My prediction has been pinpoint, folks. As I mentioned at the start of the game, if MI gets to 150 then they would defend the total.
