Milestone
This is it from the live coverage and unfortunately, we need to close it out here. Its adieu from Arijit Kundu and my fellow commentator, Anurag Singh. Tune us back in tomorrow with a lot of live-action on queue.
1:43 pm IST: The match has been called off due to rain. The points will be shared and it will take Manchester Originals to the top of the table and Southern Brave, meanwhile, climb up one spot to the sixth position, It's the second washout in Manchester and it's highly disappointing that we couldn't have a 25-ball a side game but never mind, a lot of action coming up tomorrow.
Earlier in the play, Southen Brave had won the toss and opted to field first. The openers started off watchfully as they could register only two runs of the first over from offy, Liam Dawson. They hung in for a while, finding gaps in various directions until a rocket from Tymal Mills crunched into the stumps of Joe Clark. Soon they lost the other opener who flourished after hitting three consecutive boundaries against Chris Jordon. Munro looked like the lone warrior for the Originals and continued to keep the scoreboard ticking with Sam Hain at the other end.
It seems like the rain is busy playing hide and seek in Manchester. They be like, You're in we're out. We're out, and you're in. The start got delayed due to the showers and soon there were two interruptions in between and now we are here at the receiving end as the rain continues with the role of a spoilsport.
The rain is falling down heavily and the umpires are having a chat. It's pouring down and the umpires walk off. This innings won't carry on most probably. 9:38 PM(local time) is the cut-off time for Brave's 25-ball chase. Stay tuned for further updates.
