James Vince: We were under pressure, Garts came back but they had a reasonably long tail, Tymal and CJ outstanding at the end. Hard to know what a good score is, but a short boundary... we had a chance. We fought our way back into the game. We have our plans pre-game but it comes down to reacting to what the pitch is doing. Great to get two wins on the board after a slow start. Haven't played a perfect game by any stretch.
Chris Jordan: That's what makes this format so fun, we didn't start as we would have liked to, but showed the character in the team. You just want to help your team out as much as possible. We knew we were tight on time, but had to find a balance, I said I needed at least seven or eight to defend. Not easy with extra men inside the circle.

However, Quinton de Kock produced a brilliant moment of keeping to send back Josh Inglis after the batter made 55 runs. After that wicket, Chris Jordan finished the five economically as Nabi continued to swing and miss. Spirit required 14 off the last ten balls and Tymal Mills only conceded three runs while also removing Nabi off his final delivery. Blake Cullen got a single off the first delivery while Roelof van der Merwe struck a boundary to make it six off three balls. With five required off the last two balls, the situation was still in the balance but De Kock came into the action yet again by running out Cullen. Eventually, Chris Jordan bowled a good delivery to seal the match by four runs
London Spirit skipper Eoin Morgan came in and struggled before being run-out by Chris Jordan as the chasing side were reduced to 81-3 after 42 balls. Ravi Bopara didn't stay in the middle for long too as Chris Jordan had him caught in the deep. The next man in, Mohammad Nabi was also unable to produce the boundaries while Josh Inglis slowed down just as he neared his fifty. The scenario was still not challenging for Spirit as the required runs per ball was still hovering below six.
Some outstanding death bowling from the duo of Chris Jordan and Tymal Mills!! The London Spirit opening duo of Adam Rossington and Josh Inglis got the team off to a rapid start. Rossington, in particular, made 30 off just 11 balls before Inglis joined the party too. Rossington eventually fell off George Garton's bowling with London Spirit having 68 on the board after 27 balls. Garton removed Joe Denly off the very next delivery to bring Southern Brave back into the game slightly
