Thats all from the commentary box for today's encounter. Keep yourself updated and follow our commentary for the next match in 15 minutes' time. Till then, its me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Nikhil Kulkarni.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Bangla Tigers captain Andre Fletcher who won the toss and put the oppositions in. Tom Banton was dismissed by a beauty first over by Garton but it was the partnership of Sohail Akhtar and Ben Dunk which brought them back into the clash. Sharjeel Khan played some good shots before his dismissal but the difference proved to be Sohail Akhtar as his partnership pf 61 with Dunk gave some respectability to the total. While Akhtar remained unbeaten on 49 of 28 deliveries, Dunk chipped in with a knock of 31 od 16 deliveries which included a couple of fours and sixes each. In the end, the score of 104 proved to be just enough as they won by 7 runs
Arya: Chasing the target of 105, the Bangla Tigers got off to a flying start courtesy a hat-trick of boundaries by Johnson Charles in the opening over. However, they lost all the momentum with quick wickets of Charles and Spiceman Andre Fletcher. Chirag Suri and Tom Moores shared a brief little partnership that put them in control and in the last few overs, they would have backed themselves to chase anything. Eventually, the required rate kept climbing and it became a difficult proposition for the Bangla Tigers. Moores again turned the scales in the 18th over with some lusty hitting but exceptional penultimate and the final over eventually helped the Qalandars hold their nerves and eke out a 7 runs victory. Qais Ahmed's valiant effort in the end wasn't enough as the Qalandars kept their dominating run in the tournament intact
Arya: So thats the end of the game and Qalandars remain unbeaten in this tournament. Beats the Bangla Tigers by 7 runs. Another exceptional performance from the bowling brigade of the Qalandars. Defending a below par score of 104 was always going to be a tough ask but they forged out a plan in the break and executed most of them to perfection. It was a magnificent joint effort from the Qalandars as Bangla Tigers could only master 97 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 10 overs.

9.6 Mohammad Zahid to Qais Ahmad
1 Qalandars remain unbeaten!!!! Length ball outside off and Qais smashes it past the bowler for a single. The bowlers have done an excellent job to defend this total!!
9.5 Mohammad Zahid to Qais Ahmad
0 Back of a length ball quicker delivery angling away outside off and Qais tries to smash this one but couldn't make a contact
9.4 Mohammad Zahid to Qais Ahmad
6 SIX!!!! Full toss on the off stump and Qais Ahmad has smoked it over the deep mid-wicket boun dary. 9 needed off 2 balls now!!!
Arya: Can Qais Ahmed become Vishnu Solanki?
9.3 Mohammad Zahid to Qais Ahmad
2 Bowls a full length ball on the pads, digs it out to the fine leg area and takes a couple of runs
Nikhil: It's been declared as boundary from the 3rd umpire!!!
Arya: That should a difficult one for the 3rd umpire, its touch and go, signaled a boundary and that's a sensible decision in the end
9.2 Mohammad Zahid to Qais Ahmad
4 Full length ball on the off stump, Qais smashes it hard straight down the ground and Jordan does well to pull it back going over the boundary line. There was a run out call but they are checking the boundary first. It seems to be a close call and the umpire is still checking it!!!
Arya: I have no clue how can this be out? That is pitching outside the leg stump, shoddy umpiring
9.1 Mohammad Zahid to Tom Moores
W OUT!!! Full length ball on the leg stump and Moores tries to smash it to the on side but misses. The bowlers appeals for a lbw and it's given. Looked like it might have pitched outside leg but we will have to see the replays. Qalandars have got the big fish!!!
Nikhil: 21 runs needed in the last over. Moores will be on strike more importantly for Bangla Tigers!!!
