So thats all from the commentary box for now folks. This was Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off on the behalf of my fellow commentators Kingshuk Kusari and Karthik Raj. Till the next time tata
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Perth Scorchers who won the toss and opted to bat. The Sixers bowlers started off quite brilliantly in the first 3 overs which also included the dismissal of dangerman Jason Roy. However, it was Colin Munro's counter-attack that brought the Scorchers back into the game. Jos Inglis joined him in the middle and he too looked in complete command. Wickets fell in a cluster in the middle and it also included another umpiring howler. Mitchell Marsh clearly showed his anguish at the umpire after being given out. Eventually they made a pretty good comeback and struck some fours and sixes in the last few overs courtesy a special knock from Inglis and reached a competitive score of 167 in their allotted 20 overs. In the end, it didn't prove to be enough as the Sixers reached the target with utmost ease.
Arya: The target of 168 might have been a tricky one had they lost early wickets but that wasn't to be. Right from the outset, Vince and his partner Joshua Philippe looked in complete command of proceedings and never allowed the Perth Scorchers' bowlers to settle in. They kept finding the boundaries on a consistent basis and made life difficult for them. Philippe struck some exceptional lofted drives down the leg side with his bat straight and that was a sight to behold for any cricket lover. A partnership of 92 runs in just 8.5 overs almost sealed the game for the Sixers. After the dismissal of Philippe, Vince took the onus on himself and kept plundering the bowlers all around the park. He was batting with authority and eventually remained unbeaten on 98 to finish off the deal for Sixers. His knock was studded with 14 fours and a six and was a masterclass of the highest order. The bowlers had no clue what so ever as Sixers romped home by 9 wickets and with 3 full overs left.
Arya: What a knock from James Vince, might have not reached the 3 figure mark but he steered his team to a comprehensive victory in the end and his teammates are all over him and congratulating him on his exploits. What a special knock and they charge off to the final slated to be played next Saturday night.
17.1 Andrew Tye to James Vince
WD thats a wide and Vince is not a happy man, Tye bangs this short and it over the head of Vince and the umpire calls it a wide, Tye aplogises straightaway

Jhye Richardson
0-36(4.0)
16.6 Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes
0 a delivery that takes off after pitching and Hughes doesn't have any intentions of playing that, drops his wrists and lets it go and again a huge cheer from the crowd
16.5 Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes
0 blocks the full delivery down the cover region, Hughes has taken the onus on himself to play out these deliveries to allow Vince to get to the 3 figure mark
16.4 Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes
0 digs out the yorker well, the crowd is actually praying for two dot balls, they are waiting for Vince's century
16.3 Jhye Richardson to Daniel Hughes
4 FOUR!!!! what have you done Hughes, pulls this short delivery down deep fine leg and finds the boundary, the crowd is booing Hughes on this occasion, needed to get Vince on strike
16.2 Jhye Richardson to James Vince
1 digs out the delivery on the blockhole down the cover region and takes a single
16.1 Jhye Richardson to James Vince
4 FOUR!!!! full delivery on the stumps, Vince literally jabs this down the ground very hard and it whistles past the bowler and finds the straight boundary, that's a sensational stoke from the Englishman on this occasion, absolutely drilled that
Arya: Power Surge has been taken the Sydney Sixers and this could be the over where Vince reaches the elusive milestone

Liam Livingstone
1-16(2.0)
15.6 Liam Livingstone to Daniel Hughes
2 nice use of the feet from Hughes, comes down the track to a fuller length delivery and thrashes this down deep extra cover and good piece of fielding in the deep restricts the batters to just a brace, Vince will be on strike next over
15.5 Liam Livingstone to James Vince
1 flighted from Livingstone on the stumps, Vince crunches this down the off, a bit uppishly but falls well short of wide long-off fielder, enough time to take a single
15.4 Liam Livingstone to Daniel Hughes
1 drills this fuller length delivery down the long-off region and again gives a chance to Vince to reach his century, he needs two more boundaries
