That's it from all of us today. I am Nikhil Kulkarni and with my two co-commentators Arjun Bhalla, and Akshay Bhide signing off for today. Stay safe and Take Care.
Sydney Sixers are now at the top of the table with 29 points. They have played some great cricket in this tournament so far and it will be tough for the other teams to beat them.
Sydney Sixers needed 129 runs in 14 overs after rain played the spoilsport. Josh Philippe set the tone for the chase by scoring 23 runs in the 2nd over of the innings. The runs were flowing easily before Avendano holed out scoring 17 off 10 balls. Philippe continued his onslaught and kept smashing the bowlers. He reached his 50 in just 24 deliveries. The wickets were falling at the other end but the run-rate was in control. Daniel Christian came to bat at No.5 and smashed a couple of sixes to finish this off soon with 8 balls remaining. Philippe got out trying to hit the winning runs at the end of the innings. He played an excellent innings of 64(36) balls.
Earlier today Syndey Thunder were off to a flyer with Hales smashing the ball all over the park. Khawaja and Ferguson departed early and the scoring momentum slowed down after those two quick wickets. Lloyd Pope and Steve O'Keefe kept the things tight. Hales reached his 50 in 29 balls in style with a flat-six. Steve O'Keefe returned to bowl his 2nd over and got two big wickets of Billings and Hales to get back Sixers in the game. Ben Cutting as well couldn't get going today and he got out early scoring 8 off 11 balls. Daniel Sams kept his cool at the other end and stayed till the end of the innings to take Sydney Thunder to a total of 166. Sams remained unbeaten on 50 off 37 balls.
Steve O'Keefe is the man of the match! Steve O'Keefe: "I think the pitch was a little bit two-paced. I bowled a bit slower than I do regularly. When we go out there we back ourselves to do well. On Philippe being called mini ABD, I have different nicknames for him but we will stick with that one."
12.4 Daniel Sams to Carlos Brathwaite
4 FOUR!!! Nice punch to finish the game. Slower ball on the shorter side around off, Brathwaite punches this of the backfoot in the gap and it races away for a boundary. With this they beat thunder by 5 wickets
