So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Arjun Bhalla. Stay tuned to OneCricket's coverage of the remainder of this IPL too.
Chris Jordan has been named as the 'Man of the Match' for his superb bowling performance combined with a couple of superb catches.
KL Rahul : Yes we are making it a habit. In the first half we somehow couldn't make this a habit. I am just speechless right now to be honest. Very happy with the show from the boys. The work done is always behind the scenes, not just the players, but the support staff. You can't change much in a player in two months but you can always make them mentally better and that's what coach Kumble, Andy, Charl, Jonty and Wasim have done. After me and Mandeep played the first over we know it's not a high scoring wicket. We were thinking close to 160. They went hard in the first six. But I knew we could pull things back if we don't leak many runs in the powerplay as we have two leggies. We sat down and thought about the things that the bowlers would need in conditions like these and it's good to see the work paying off.
Warner: Yeah it does (hurt a lot). Our bowlers did a fantastic job to restrict them. After the start we got, we took our foot off the pedal. Felt on that wicket it was going to get tougher once the spin came into it. For us it was about trying to apply pressure upfront, negate the swing bowling, but obviously we didn't get across the line. They bowled well with the new ball (his bowlers). Didn't get all the wickets upfront but we brought it back well. Today our bowlers executed the plans well, very happy with them. Just have to forget this game and move forward.
Comments from the skippers
The credit has to go to the entire KXIP bowling attack. The spin-twins started it off by dismissing the two key openers. Both Ravi Bishnoi and Murugan Ashwin bowled tight line and lengths to never let SRH off the hook. Bishnoi, in particular, returned figures of 4-0-13-1. The death bowling duo of Chris Jordan and Arshdeep Singh were also exceptional by producing combined figures of 4-0-40-6. The fielding and captaincy from KL Rahul were also exceptional meaning that it was a complete team effort
How have KXIP pulled off this victory?? KXIP have stunningly pulled off a 12-run victory. David Warner gave SRH the best possible start with 52 runs off the Powerplay overs. It all changed when Warner feathered an edge to KL Rahul while attempting a reverse sweep off Ravi Bishnoi in the 7th over. In the very next over, Bairstow was bowled by M. Ashwin. The next over, SRH found themselves in deeper trouble when Chris Jordan pulled off a superb catch to send back Abdul Samad. However, two experienced campaigners in the form of Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar built a sedate but crucial 33-run partnership. The game might have changed in the first ball of the 17th over when the sub fielder J.Suchith pulled off a fantastic catch to send back. Even then, SRH only required 27 off 23 balls. In the 18th over, Vijay Shankar got hit by a throw after which he fell off the very next delivery. With 17 required off the last 12 balls, Chris Jordan changed the match in KXIP's favour with the third and fourth deliveries. He removed Jason Holder and Rashid Khan meaning that the young Priyam Garg was left to get 15 runs off eight deliveries while batting along with the tail-enders. It was not to be for Garg and SRH as Arshdeep Singh more than held his nerve to defend 14 runs off the last over. Eventually, KXIP wrapped up the proceedings with a 12-run win out of nowhere.
19.5 Arshdeep Singh to Khaleel Ahmed
W Shorter ball on the middle stump, Khaleel defends it to point and tries to take single but Natarajan says no. Ravi Bishnoi hits the stumps and Khaleel was way out. This means the game is over for SRH. KXIP wins the match by 12 runs. What a turnaround this has been! Kudos to KL and his boys!
19.4 Arshdeep Singh to Khaleel Ahmed
0 Slower ball, short of a length and just outside off and Ahmed defends it in the off side. Uh-oh, Arshdeep misses his hattrick
19.3 Arshdeep Singh to Priyam Garg
W WICKET!!!! Back to back wickets for Arshdeep Singh! And the last recognizable batsman has to go! Shorter ball in the off, Priyan had to slog it but it was difficult for him and he gives an easy catch to Chris Jordan at long-on in the end. Hattrick ball!
19.2 Arshdeep Singh to Sandeep Sharma
W WICKET!!! An easy catch for the mid-on fielder. Slow and short ball in the stumps, Sharma tries to hit it over mid-on but it was not going to be easy for him to hit Arshdeep and he could not. An easy catch to Ashwin in the end. SRH needs 13 runs in the last 4 balls and Priyam Garg will on-strike!
19.1 Arshdeep Singh to Priyam Garg
1 Single on the first ball. Garg is off the strike. Shorter ball in the leg stump, Garg tries to pull it over fine leg but miscues the shot and it falls short of the fielder, a single in the end

18.6 Chris Jordan to Sandeep Sharma
0 Dot to end the over. What an over by Chris Jordan. Just 3 runs off it and SRH needs 14 off the last over. Length ball outside off, Sharma swings his handle hard but gets an edge on the ball and the ball goes nowhere. Arshdeep have 14 runs in the bag to defend
18.5 Chris Jordan to Priyam Garg
1 One. Uh-oh! No hattrick! Fuller ball in the off and Garg pushes the ball to long off for a single. Just 3 runs so far
18.4 Chris Jordan to Rashid Khan
W WICKET!!! Back to back wickets for Chris Jordan! Length ball outside off, Rashid Khan goes for the glory shot but finds a fielder at sweep cover. Jordan is turning the game for KXIP. He'll on the hattrick on the next ball.
