Like always it was a pleasure bringing the live commentary and match updates for you. Tomorrow we have a big clash between Delhi Capitals and the Kings XI Punjab. Can Punjab keep their hopes alive? Till the next time, tata from me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and my co-commentator Akshay Bhide. Good night folks
So that is all from here folks. One more defeat for CSK and they face a potential elimination and by the look of things it will take something very very special for CSK to make a dramatic comeback. RR, on the other hand, will be overjoyed to bag those two important points. They climb to the 5th position with 8 points from 10 matches.
Jos Buttler (Man of the Match): Nice to get a win on the board tonight. I tried to come out with some intensity in my batting. I didn't think I had enough last game, and I decided to take a few more options tonight, and it came off. You have to keep trusting yourself and particularly when there's no scoreboard pressure, you can play yourself in and let cut loose in the end. I'm happy (batting at number 5) to do whatever the team needs to me do. This is my role for now.
Steven Smith | RR (winning) captain: Sharjah is a little different from here. The wicket was stoppy, not the best for batting, and good to be on the winning side. I thought we bowled well in the powerplay. The spinners bowled good lengths, with the googlies and leggies, building a lot of pressure. Tewatia and Shreyas have been sensational for us. Buttler took the pressure off me. I just knocked it around, and he just batted the way he usually does. He always maintains a good strike-rate. I didn't know I'd nicked the ball (LBW call), but I was relieved to see that I had.
Jofra Archer: The rhythm seems to be better at the moment. There is a bit of grass in the wicket, that makes me bend my back a bit. It's been difficult in the bubble, some days you go for the gym, but you'd have to do it, you have been out of action for a few months. The better you condition your body, the better it is. You don't lift heavy weights during the competition, but you usually do some basic cores you'll do a bit of weights, that will be okay. Not then, but at the end of the second over, I asked him if he wanted to sniff one (on the bouncer to Sam Curran)
MS Dhoni | CSK captain: There was a bit for the fast bowlers. The reason I brought on Jadeja was to see how much it's stopping. But it didn't stop much. In the second innings I think it got better because our spinners didn't get the same bite. It's about going back to the process, and then see if the process is wrong. We play in front of millions of people so there is nothing to hide. We're trying a few things. You don't want to chop and change. Insecurity is something you don't want to prevail in the dressing room. Fair enough, this season we weren't really there. Also the youngsters, we didn't see the spark to push the guys. But what this result has done is give those youngsters a chance in the rest of the tournament.

Dhoni and Jadeja shared a good stand but it was too slow and like most other matches, yet again the most spoken word has to be the lack of intent from the CSK batters. They failed to hit the big shots which never really allowed them to push for a competitive score. The run out of MS Dhoni did hurt them towards the end. Jadeja tried his best and remained unbeaten on 35 to eventually propel CSK to 125 on the board. It was never going to be a difficult task and eventually Jos Buttler made light work of the target.
Earlier in the day, it was MS Dhoni who won the toss and opted to bat. CSK were pegged back early as they lost in-form Faf du Plessis pretty early on in the innings. Shane Watson soon followed him to the pavilion. Sam Curran looked in good touch during his brief stay before perishing.
Chasing the target of 126, RR began well but were pegged back with 3 quick wickets. After a quick 26 runs stand between Ben Stokes and Robin Uthappa, it was Deepak Chahar who dismissed Stokes and there was a small procession from thereon. Robin Uthappa and Sanju Samson fell soon after as they were reduced to 28/3. Steve Smith survived a close shave early on. He rode on his lucky and shared a magnificent stand with Buttler. The latter was the aggressor in the partnership as he eventually remained unbeaten on 70 of 48 deliveries to see his side through. Smith remained unbeaten on 26. Chahar bagged a couple for CSK while Hazlewood bagged one in his comeback match.
So that's done and dusted for the day. Yet again CSK were blown away and it proved to be a dominating all-round performance from the Rajasthan Royals. Chasing a total of 126 was never going to be a problem for RR. They were in a spot of bother losing 3 wickets early but skipper Steve Smith and Jos Buttler shared an unbeaten match-winning stand to seal the deal for RR.
