What a roller-coaster it was! Thank you for staying till the end, it was a delight to bring you all the updates from the match. Goodbye on the behalf of my colleague Akshay Bhide and me, Mohak Arora. Have a good night's sleep before we continue the action tomorrow with SRH vs KXIP.
Rahul Tripathi (Man of the Match and three more awards): Something like a dream come true for me. Was prepared for both the roles. Thought the ball was coming nicely, so I thought we should keep up the scoreboard which is why those shots came out, nothing special. It's a journey. Have loved this journey. Coming to KKR is special. Performing in front of Shahrukh sir is very special. It's a dream come true.
Dinesh Karthik: There are some key players for every time. Narine is one for us. Least we can do is back him. 2-3 poor games, doesn't matter. Good to see Tripathi do the job at the top. Good thing about Russ is he's very versatile. He can bat slightly up, slightly down. Our batting is very fluid. I started at three, today I batted at seven. The way those guys batted at the start, they batted very well. Back end I've a lot of trust in Sunil and Varun, paid off.
Andre Russell: That's the beauty of this game. Didn't go well with the bat and I made up with the ball today. Big moment bowling the pressure overs and I'm happy. Cross-seamers are the danger balls on this surface and once it hits the seam, it kicks. CSK bowlers used that a lot and I made sure I executed it well when I came onto bowl. I'm still confident (about finding form with the bat) and these things happen in cricket and I'm still working to find my way.
MS Dhoni | CSK captain: In the middle overs there was a phase where they bowled 2-3 good overs. If we batted better, and didn't lose 2-3 wickets in a row,. We should've been careful in the first 5-6 overs. Curran was really good with the ball, and I think we did well in general with the ball, but the batsmen let the bowlers down today. Rotation of strike was important, but I think there were hardly any boundaries in the final few overs, so we need to be innovative at the end when they are continuously hitting a back of a length. That's where we need to adapt better with the bat and I don't think we did that.
Let's see what the players are feeling in the aftermath of the match beginning with the CSK skipper MS Dhoni.
Chennai Super Kings started the run-chase well as they scored 50+ runs in the powerplay overs only losing Faf du Plessis at one end. Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu helped CSK to a good position with only 78 runs required off 60 balls and 9 wickets in hand. Rayudu giving away his wicket and Sunil Narine dismissing Watson changed the tide of the match. MS Dhoni was too slow and didn't support Sam Curran well as the English all-rounder got out just after MSD returned to the pavilion. 14 runs off the last 3 balls from Ravindra Jadeja helped narrow the loss but was 'too little, too late' for CSK in the end.
Rahul Tripathi started well from one end but kept losing his partners as Shubhman Gill, Nitish Rana, Sunil Narine, Eoin Morgan, and Andre Russell went back to the pavilion leaving Tripathi playing the dual role of anchor and hitter in the middle. The former Rising Pune Supergiants opener scored 81 runs from 51 balls, hitting 8 boundaries and 3 maximums. A cameo from Pat Cummins in the end helped KKR post a respectable 167 on the board.
Kolkata Knight Riders have defeated the Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs. Dinesh Karthik won the toss and chose to bat first which is proving to be the right call in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

19.6 Andre Russell to Ravindra Jadeja
4 Low full-toss and an excellent cover drive from Jadeja helps the ball race away to the ropes. Russell giving away some runs here in the last three deliveries, could prove fatal as the Net Run Rate would take a massive hit!
19.5 Andre Russell to Ravindra Jadeja
4 Another short ball from Russell and Jadeja excellently pulls it away for another boundary.
19.4 Andre Russell to Ravindra Jadeja
6 Russell gives some room to Jadeja and the all-rounder punches it over the longer square boundary. That's a MAXIMUM! Too little, too late though.
19.3 Andre Russell to Kedar Jadhav
1 Wide yorker outside off, excellent bowling! Single taken by Jadhav with a cover drive.
19.2 Andre Russell to Kedar Jadhav
0 Hits Jadhav on the arms, no run.
19.1 Andre Russell to Kedar Jadhav
0 Starts with an excellent yorker, played straight to the fielder at cover, no run.

18.6 Sunil Narine to Ravindra Jadeja
0 On the body line and Jadeja fails to get bat to ball, no run.
18.5 Sunil Narine to Ravindra Jadeja
4 Too much room offered to Jadeja and the left-hander cuts it over the fielders in the 30-yard circle and the ball meets the boundary ropes. FOUR!!
