Trent Boult has been named 'Man of the Match' for his splendid spell. So, that brings an end to the coverage from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Akshay Bhide. Join the commentary for the ongoing match between CSK and KXIP
Rohit Sharma: "The wicket looked good but it was slightly on the slower side so getting past 200 was a great effort. We didn't have any total in mind. We back our bowlers to do the job. And that's what they did. I definitely missed out, but again you try your best whenever you have the opportunity. Great effort from the boys to put those runs on the board. We decide the middle order depending on how the game is going. Match-ups, match situation etc. It is great to have three power hitters. Today Krunal also showed his value. You come with bowling plans. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but you have to bowl the best delivery at the time. I don't try to impose my plans on them. I want them to give me th
Comments from the skippers here!! David Warner: "Looking at the stats, their two experienced bowlers bowled well in the middle overs. That wicket during the day is a little bit slower. It was holding up a fraction. Obviously, 209 on the board, we tried to go 10 an over, but we couldn't get a partnerhsip strung together long enough. Two new guys coming in today with Bhuvi injured as well. A lot of things we can work on in training. I counted probably seven or eight full tosses towards the back end. From the execution point of view, we didn't nail that."
With 37 runs required off the last over, Rashid tried his best but he could only manage two runs from the six balls as Keiron Pollard showed how clever he is without constant variations. He has been a massive bonus for Mumbai in this victory. Credit should also go to Trent Boult, James Pattinson and Krunal Pandya as he executed their stuff superbly
Two inexperienced players in the form of Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad were left to chase 65 off 24 balls and it was always going to be tough irrespective of the opposition bowlers. With Jasprit Bumrah having two of those last four overs left, the task only became harder. To create a twist in the tale, Samad struck a six and a four off Bumrah’s last two balls of the 17th over but Trent Boult came up with a clutch four-run over to pull things back firmly in Mumbai’s favour. Class is permanent they say and Bumrah proved it by striking twice to remove Samad and Abhishek in the penultimate over.
Warner continued to go at a sedate pace against the pacers although he did smack a few sixes off the spinners. Just three overs later, Kane Williamson fell while off Trent Boult’s bowling while trying to guide a ball past the keeper. The young Priyam Garg couldn’t get going in this match unlike his heroics against CSK as a clever Keiron Pollard asked him to generate all the pace. This meant that SRH required a mammoth 79 off the last six overs. Not impossible by Sharjah standards but Garg fell in the first ball of Krunal Pandya’s very next over. Krunal’s brilliant 15th over was followed up another cracking over from James Pattinson which also included the key wicket of David Warner.
Right from the beginning of the chase, Mumbai never let Sunrisers Hyderabad get ahead of the rate. They had a decent Powerplay phase by conceding 56 runs while removing the dangerous Jonny Bairstow when he was looking in solid touch. Warner who was scratchy from the beginning built a decent 60-run partnership with Manish Pandey before the latter fell on the penultimate delivery of the 10th over.

0 Almost a yorker again. Sandeep Sharma managed to somehow dig it out. What an over from Bumrah!!
18.5 Jasprit Bumrah to Abhishek Sharma
W Another wicket and this time it is Abhishek Sharma!!! It was actually a low full toss but Abhishek Sharma went for the scoop and missed it completely. The ball goes and flattens the middle stump
18.4 Jasprit Bumrah to Rashid Khan
1 Superb yorker once again, Rashid can only squirt it to back-ward square-leg for a single
18.3 Jasprit Bumrah to Abhishek Sharma
3lb Brilliant yorker from Bumrah and brilliant fielding from Ishan Kishan. The ball was racing away after striking Abhishek Sharma's shoe but Ishan Kishan gave a fantastic chase from short fine-leg and saved one run.
18.2 Jasprit Bumrah to Abdul Samad
W Wicket!! Samad gone!! Bumrah has the final laugh!!! Samad looked to go big off this length ball but he got a huge top-edge and Rohit Sharma pouched the catch easily at extra-cover
