It was a delight to bring you all the updates from the match as me, Mohak Arora and my colleague Arjun Bhalla sign off but you can always switch to the Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders commentary by the very talented duo of Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and Akshay Bhide.
On the other hand, RCB have done well to get 6 points from their first four matches that includes a 97-run defeat at the hands of former RCB player KL Rahul. Kohli has led the new-look side well and should continue to do so in the near future.
Rajasthan Royals continue their nightmare outside the Sharjah Stadium as their fearsome top order is missing the small grounds and is failing to adapt to the bigger boundaries in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Virat Kohli: Very important two points. The kind of game we had last time, it's very important to back that up. It was warm, but coming from Dubai, this felt better because of the breeze. It's a funny game, an amazing game and I was telling Jos that I love this game and hate it too; it's something you need to understand [bad form] but when the team's doing well, you get more time to apply yourself. This tournament can get away from you very quickly. When you start losing initially, the games start going quickly and suddenly you realise 8 games are gone and you don't have points. We need to keep up the momentum. There wasn't much to reveal [to Devdutt] and told Simon this guy's got serious talent - reach, and a great eye. And a left-hander, very clean shots You hardly feel he's taking risks, you get that feeling rarely at this level. Today he carried from 40 to 65 odd, so he's a smart guy and he understands the game well.
Steven Smith: We could have done a lot better. Didn't get enough runs on the board, it was a good wicket. We couldn't get a partnership together. Jofra bowled exceptionally, our leggies bowled well, but we didn't have enough on the board. Our top 3 should be doing the job a lot more. The last two games it's cost us. We bat quite deep, but our top 3 need to bat longer and get outselves into the innings. Lomror played nice under pressure and to get 155, we didn't look like getting that many; he played a mature innings. Just a few areas which we've to work on and we'll go back and look at those. It was very hot, you come back for a two and takes a bit longer to get your oxygen back.
Let's have a look at what the skippers said after the match.
While chasing 155, RCB lost Aaron Finch early on but a 99-run stand between Devudtt Padikkal and skipper Virat Kohli made the run-chase a walk in the park. Padikkal's innings of 63 runs off 45 balls consisted of 6 boundaries and a maximum. The youngster scored his 3rd IPL fifty in his 4th match marking the start of something special here. Virat Kohli was back in usual touch and he announced it with aplomb with an unbeaten innings of 72 runs off 53 balls, hitting 7 fours and a couple of maximums in his 82-minute stay on the ground.
Yuzvendra Chahal was the star of the RCB bowling attack yet again as he won the purple cap back from Mohammed Shami. He scalped three wickets and only gave away 24 runs in his 4 overs. Navdeep Saini and Isuru Udana complimented him well with regular wickets while Washington Sundar's spell of 20 runs from 4 overs was excellent yet again.
Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat first despite the dew factor not being a key reason behind that. RR faltered inside the first ball 25 balls losing skipper Smith, Jos Buttler, and Sanju Samson early on. Mahipal Lomror anchored the innings from there but his 47 from 39 wasn't supported a lot from the other end with Robin Uthappa and Riyan Parag struggling. Rahul Tewatia and Jofra Archer played good cameos at the end to help RR post 154 on the board.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore have sealed an 8-wicket win here after outplaying the Rajasthan Royals in every department of the game.
19.1 Tom Curran to Abraham Benjamin de Villiers
4 FOUR!!! Low full toss, de Villiers crouches a bit and batters it to the right of Jofra at mid-on. RCB wins the game with 8 wickets and 5 balls left! ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE goes on top of the Points table. A complete team effort for RCB.

18.3 Jaydev Unadkat to Abraham Benjamin de Villiers
0 Slower again and AB drives the ball from the back foot but Smith at covers guides the ball and save runs
18.2 Jaydev Unadkat to Virat Kohli
2 Length ball and VK steps down and lofts the ball in the air and Gopal at long-off drops VK. Virat and AB between all this drama run for 3 quick runs. What kind of energy this man has got! He is batting at the score of 68 runs and he's sprinting in the middle in these humid Abu Dhabi's conditions.
