Milestone
It has been a good end to the 2020 CPL which often disappointed with low-scoring matches and batting collapses were a frequent sight but the final was as entertaining as it can get. Bye for today, it was a joy bringing you the live commentary. I, Mohak Arora am signing off on the behalf of my colleague Arya Sekhar Chakraborty. Stay Home, Stay Safe!
TKR are now 4-time CPL champions and they are laying down a benchmark for future generations to win 4 tournaments in 7 years. Brendon McCullum has won a tournament under his coaching for the first team and he is absolutely delighted, so is Dwayne Bravo who can be seen jumping up and down with his team.
Another comprehensive performance from TKR. Simmons proved his mettle on the big game. I had picked Simmons as my captain in the Dream XI team. He was a treat to watch. I was hoping a good contest but turns out yet another one-sided contest. Very very happy to see my team lifting the cup.
My colleague Arya Sekhar rightly predicted TKR's victory before the match. Let's see what he has to say on this run-chase.
Zouks were just not good enough with the ball and Sammy criminally under-used Mohammed Nabi in the bowling department as he bowled only three overs and could have bowled the 17th over which was given to the young Zahir Khan.
It has been an exhilarating chase from the Trinbago Knight Riders as they chased down 155 with 5 balls to go. TKR needed 96 from the last 10 overs and they just needed 55 balls to chase it down. Skipper Keiron Pollard wasn't even needed as Lendl Simmons and Darren Bravo got the job done between them.
18.1 Kesrick Williams to Darren Bravo
4 Williams bowls a full-toss and an inside edge off the blade of Bravo gets the Trinbago Knight Riders home. What a win this has been! THE CHAMPIONS HAVE RIGHTFULLY CLAIMED WHAT'S THEIRS.

17.6 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons
4 FOUR!! Full delivery. Simmons flashes and gets and outside edge which misses the point fielder and goes straight past the 3rd man boundary. It's almost over folks. What a chase it has been from TKR.
17.5 Scott Kuggeleijn to Darren Bravo
1 Full-length delivery just outside off. Bravo drives it towards the cover region for a single
17.4 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons
1 Another slower delivery, Simmons defends on the up and takes a single
17.3 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons
4 FOUR!! Clubbed away over extra cover. Another slower delivery. Simmons drills it through the cover region for another boundary
17.2 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons
0 Slower outside off. Simmons flashes but misses. Good delivery from Kuggeleijn but the match is almost done and dusted. The St Lucia fielder looks glum
17.1 Scott Kuggeleijn to Lendl Simmons
6 SIX!! That's gone with the wind. In the slot for Simmons and he clears his front leg and smashes it over the mid-wicket boundary for a huge six.

16.6 Zahir Khan to Darren Bravo
6 Another maximum from Bravo, slogs an overpitched delivery over mid-wicket and what an over it has been for Trinbago Knight Riders. 23 runs off this over. Also, Bravo gets to his half-century.
16.5 Zahir Khan to Darren Bravo
0 An excellent wide yorker from Khan, Bravo gets bat to ball but no run.
16.4 Zahir Khan to Darren Bravo
6 Bravo joins the party! Plays Zahir Khan straight down the ground, six massive runs added to the Knight Riders' total.
16.3 Zahir Khan to Lendl Simmons
1 Simmons heaves at it again but is only able to run a single due to some injury.
16.2 Zahir Khan to Lendl Simmons
6 Zahir pulls the length even shorter and Simmons replies with ease, slogging it over mid-wicket for a maximum.
