The Jamaica Tallawahs were derailed early on by Akeal Hosein, Khary Pierre, Sunil Narine, and Fawad Ahmed and they ended up with just 107 on the board after a collective failure of the batting unit. Bonner and Powell steadied the innings after an early downfall of the top order but Russell and Brathwaite failed to finish with a flurry.
Trinbago Knight Riders lost Sunil Narine early on in the innings but bounced back with Tion Webster and Lendl Simmons who saw the Knight Riders home safely.
