Player Bio

A rare left-arm-seamer in the Zimbabwe women’s team, Nomvelo Sibanda has been a top performer for her country since her arrival at the international stages.

Sibanda made her debut against Namibia Women on January 5th, 2019, and picked up one wicket giving 20 runs in a low-scoring match. She was the leading wicket-taker for her team in the 2020 T20 World Cup Qualifier striking 12 wickets in 8 innings but failed to make it into their first ICC event. Having cemented her spot in the playing XI after the brilliance in the quarter-finals, Sibanda would be hoping to provide Zimbabwe women’s team some glory in mega tournaments.
