Player Bio

One of the upcoming stars and the current skipper of her country, Kathryn Bryce is a professional cricketer for the Scotland women’s team who made her debut at the age of just 13. Bryce is a top-order batter and swing bowler who hails from George Watson’s College in Edinburgh where she was the first girl to play in the boy’s 1st XI.

Kathryn played for the Scotland U-17s for 5 years, skippering the side for four. Her most notable performance during this time was 173* in an unbroken partnership of 336 with her sister Sarah. Kathryn was selected to be part of the ICC Associate Rookie Programme during the WBBL for the Melbourne Stars.

In 2018, Kathryn took over the captaincy of the national team and was selected for the Trent Rockets in the ECB’s new The Hundred tournament commencing in July 2020. She also became a regular in the Loughborough Lightning side opening the bowling, taking eight wickets in the 2019 campaign.

Along with her sister Sarah Bryce and Sterre Kalis, she had been named in contention for the ICC’s Women’s Associate player of the decade, despite being in her 20s and won the award later that year.
