Jack's Bio

The young gun all-rounder, Jack Wildermuth is a former U19 representative for the Australian national team. Born in Toowoomba, Wildermuth started at the Valley District Cricket Club in Queensland where he progressed through the ranks. At the tender age of 14, he achieved the rare feat of taking five wickets in five consecutive balls.

The Brisbane-based cricketer's breakthrough season came in 2015-16. Playing eight Sheffield Shield matches, he scored his maiden first-class century and also earned the 'Player of the Match' award for taking seven wickets against Victoria. However, it was his performances in T20 cricket for Brisbane Heat and then the Melbourne Renegades that would see him earn international recognition in 2018, where he appeared in two T20Is during a tour of Zimbabwe.

The Queenslander gained attention for his all-round display for Australia A against India. First, claiming 3-13 with the ball, before scoring an unbeaten run-a-ball century with the bat. His batting gained recognition after he smashed 16-ball 29 for Brisbane Heat in the decider against the Sydney Sixers at the Gabba as the men in magenta won a Super Over decider to go through to the Final before losing to Perth.

Having accepted a last-minute deal to play in the PSL, Jack Wildermuth will soon link up with Andre Russell and Faf du Plessis at the Quetta Gladiators to play the remainder of the 2021 Pakistan Super League(PSL) season held in UAE.
