Player Bio
A strapping fast bowler from Tasmania, Ben HIlfenhaus relies more on swing than pace. After waiting a while to make his first-class debut, Helfenhaus made the most of the chance when it finally came in 2005-06, with 39 wickets in the season. Before he got his full contract at Tasmania, he worked as a bricklayer along with pursuing his cricket dream. Inducted into the CSK squad in 2011, Hilfenhaus failed to make it to the IPL that season due to an injury. He also missed the first part of IPL 2012 due to national commitments but when he did join the Super Kings midway through the event, Hilfenhaus emerged as their best bowler. He played a vital role in CSK making it to the IPL final for the fourth time. However he was not in CSK's scheme of things in 2015. He was roped in by Mumbai Indians as replacement for an injured Aaron Finch.
