Player Bio

An exciting leggie, Chris Greaves is a professional cricketer for Scotland who has come a long way from being an Amazon delivery man to becoming Scotland’s hero in the T20 World Cup.

The South African-born leggie moved to Scotland for better cricketing opportunities and made his List A debut for Scotland A against Ireland A in June 2019. He was soon fast-tracked into the senior side and made his debut against Papua New Guinea prior to the T20 World Cup in October 2021.

Greaves’ remarkable rise in cricket is nothing less than inspiring for any cricket fan as he used to deliver parcels for Amazon, not a long ago. He shot to fame in the opening game of the T20 World Cup against Bangladesh, playing an instrumental role with both bat and bowl. The all-rounder smacked 45 off 28 balls and picked up 2 wickets as Scotland stunned Bangladesh.

A useful lower-order power-hitter, the 31-year old has become a valuable asset for the associate nation in recent times and has got a platform to showcase his skills at the highest level.
