Player Bio

Tajinder Singh Dhillon, a 28-year-old, aggressive right-hand batsman and an off-break bowler who rose to fame after he was bought by Mumbai Indians in the 2018 auctions of the Indian Premier League(IPL) for his all-round services.

Dhillon made his T20 debut in the Inter-State T20 tournament on 30th January 2017 and took four wickets in four overs, registering his best figures till date 4/25 against Madhya Pradesh. He made his List A debut playing for Rajasthan in the Vijay Hazare tournament on 26th February 2017 against Mumbai. He yet again bamboozled the batsmen with his off-breaks, picking up 3 wickets on his debut.

Tajinder made his first-class debut against Jammu Kashmir in a Ranji Trophy group match in October 2017. He accumulated 332 runs in six first-class matches in which he scored his career-best knock of 132 and his only ton in first-class cricket. Dhillon was also impressive with his off-spin picking up 10 wickets in six games.

After a string of impressive performances in the domestic circuit, he was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 55 lakhs. After warming the bench for almost 2 years he was bought by Punjab Kings (formerly known as Kings XI Punjab) in 2020. After spending another year on the bench and learning from the likes of KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, he was released by Punjab Kings before the auction of IPL 2021.

With decent outings in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and 2020-21 Vijay Hazare Trophy, Tajinder Singh a power-hitter down the order and a good option with the bowl as well. With his all-round skills Tajinder would be hoping to break into the playing XI for Punjab Kings and make a name for himself.
