Player Bio

Hailing from Durban, South Africa, Calvin Harrison is a professional English cricketer who first grabbed the eyeballs of the Trent Bridge coaching staff in a pre-season friendly for Oxford University, during which the right-hander scored a century and scalped three wickets.

Harrison made his first-class debut playing for Oxford against Middlesex on March 26th, 2019. The 23-year old has since had a key role to play with the ball for Nottinghamshire’s second XI, yielding a Championship five-wicket haul against Leicestershire and 3/15 against Yorkshire in a T20 group match.

Having been raised in Taunton, Harrison played in age-group cricket for Somerset before making his senior debut for Hampshire in the 2020 Vitality Blast. The Durban-born all-rounder signed a three-month contract with Nottinghamshire in June 2021. A real example of a three-dimensional player, he bats, bowls, and fields which is a modern criterion to make it into any playing Xi in any format of the game.
