An aggressive, entertaining batter and a potential match-winner, Michael Gregory Kerran Burgess is a professional English cricketer. A reliable wicket-keeper batsman, Burgess signed his first professional contract in 2017, after first joining the county as a trialist.

Burgess made his first-class debut at the age of 19 playing for Sussex against Loughborough on April 1st, 2014.  Burgess was released by Sussex in 2016 and was signed by Warwickshire initially on a two-year loan deal which got extended by a permanent contract that will see the youngster at Edgebaston till the end of 2021.... continue reading

An aggressive, entertaining batter and a potential match-winner, Michael Gregory Kerran Burgess is a professional English cricketer. A reliable wicket-keeper batsman, Burgess signed his first professional contract in 2017, after first joining the county as a trialist.

Burgess made his first-class debut at the age of 19 playing for Sussex against Loughborough on April 1st, 2014.  Burgess was released by Sussex in 2016 and was signed by Warwickshire initially on a two-year loan deal which got extended by a permanent contract that will see the youngster at Edgebaston till the end of 2021.

The Loughborough University graduate, who has scored 2000 first-class runs at an average of 35 in his 40-game career, also played an important role in Sussex’s run to the final of last season’s T20 Blast final.

The Epsom-born 26-year-old is brimming with natural talent and he completed his maiden Warwickshire century when he struck 101 for the Bears against Worcestershire in the County Championship in May 2021.
