A classy top-order batter, Mathilda Carmicheal is a professional Australian cricketer for the Perth Scorchers. She represented New South Wales in age-group cricket before joining Scorchers in the 2016-17 season. The 27-year old is also a professional Hockey player for the Hockeyroos and missed out on the selection to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Carmicheal impressed in the 2015-16 domestic 50-over cricket scoring 337 runs and picked up 7 wickets in just 6 matches to earn her maiden WBBL contract with the Scorchers. With just 18 appearances, Carmichael recovered from an off-season injury and will be looking to add more appearances to her tally in the upcoming seasons.
