A naturally aggressive pacer, Nathan John McAndrew is a professional Australian cricketer who grew up playing for Oak Flats Rats, living across the road from Shane Lee Oval. The 28-year old pacer arrived at the domestic circuit in 2016 playing for Auckland and made his first-class debut against Christchurch in February 2016.
Hailing from Wollongong, McAndrew will enter his seventh season with the Sydney Thunders in the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League (BBL). After making his List A debut for the New South Wales Blues in the 2019 domestic season, his efforts were rewarded with a maiden full-time contract from NSW in June 2020.
At the age of 28, McAndrew has established himself as a consistent performer for the Blues and would be hoping to take his game to the next level in the upcoming years to earn a callup from the national side.
