A skilful right-arm leg-break bowler, Cameron Boyce is a classical bowler who was once touted as the next Shane Warne in the making.
Ashley Mallett, the former Test off-spinner closely monitored Boyce’s game and was highly impressed with his line and lengths. He clearly declared Boyce “as the best spinner in Australian cricket.”
Boyce had a breakout 2013-14 Sheffield Shield season for Queensland. The talented leggie scalped 26 wickets and was the breakout star of the season.
The Australian selectors were impressed by his bowling and decided to try him out in the T20I series against Pakistan in 2014. Boyce showcased his skills with a magical spell of 10 for 2 in his respective four overs as Australia won a low-scoring affair.
Currently, Boyce plays for the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League, having previously played for Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes.
