Player Bio

Born in Pakistan, Mudassar Bukhari is a bowling all-rounder and an occasional pinch-hitter who plays for the Netherlands cricket team.

Bukhari has represented Netherlands A before making his Dutch debut in 2007 in an ODI match against Canada. He instantly made an impact with the ball, scalping 3 wickets for just 24 runs to completely dismantle the Canadian batting order. The Punjab-born bowled at a good pace and was constantly troubling the opposition.

A year later, Bukhari broke into the Dutch T20I squad and made his debut against Kenya, going wicketless in his four overs.

In the 2014 ICC World T20, Bukhari was at his jolting best against England, taking 3 for 12 as the Oranjes defeated the Three Lions.

Bukhari’s best performance as a T20I bowler came against UAE in 2016 when the speedster scalped 4 for 7 as the Netherlands won the game comfortably by a margin of 84 runs. For his scintillating performance, the all-rounder was adjudged as the player of the match. In 2016, Bukhari announced his retirement from four-day and ODI cricket.

One of the best pacers produced by the Netherlands, Bukhari has been a valuable asset for the Dutch side ever since his debut in 2007. His ability to take wickets to go alongside his hitting prowess makes him a special player.
