He started off as an opening batsman, but after the relegation of the club in 2017, he was given a chance to claim a permanent slot in the team as a middle-order batter.
Clark broke through the Durham squad in a first-class match against Hampshire in 2015. He struggled in his maiden first-class game, amassing just 23 runs in two innings.
