Player Bio

Originating from Durban, Corbin Bosch has a rich cricketing background with his father, Tertius Bosch, representing South Africa in a solitary Test and two ODIs in 1992. In addition, his younger brother, Eathan Bosch, who is 23, is building a reputation in the domestic circuit.

Corbin was just five when his father passed away mysteriously in 2000 as he succumbed to Guillain-Barre Syndrome, but 18-months later, it was revealed that he might have been poisoned. The 27-year-old has ever since grown up in the shadows of this tragedy, making him more brutal and mentally tough.

The right-arm medium pacer broke into the South African  U-19 squad in 2014, which included some future stars like Kagiso Rabada and Aiden Markram. In the 2014 edition of the ICC U-19 World Cup, Corbin made his debut against the West Indies on his father's 14th death anniversary, where his figures read 2/25.

The moment of magic for Jun. Bosch came in the final at Dubai, where he derailed Pakistan's innings with a scintillating bowling spell of 4/15 in 7.3 overs, thereby earning him a player of the match trophy and an elusive ICC trophy for the Proteas. He also was a prolific hockey goalkeeper for the South African U-21s.

The Protea allrounder made his T20 debut in the following year but didn't have enough pace in his bowling and found life difficult in the domestic circuit with the Titans. However, by 2017, he had honed his skills and developed more speed and earned his First Class debut for the Titans and, a year later, made his List A debut for the Northerns.

He was also a part of the 2019 edition of the Mzansi Super League and bowling some decent spells and finishing as runners-up.

The Durban-born struck 163 runs with an impressive strike rate of 136 and picked up 10 wickets from 7 games in the recently concluded CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) roped Corbin as an injury replacement for Nathan Coulter Nile in the ongoing edition (2022) of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He would be hoping to get an opportunity in the grandest stages and showcase what he possesses.
