Player Bio

Born on December 04, 2000, Towhid Hridoy is a right-handed batter representing Rajshahi Division in the Bangladesh domestic circuit.

Hridoy made his First-Class debut at the age of 16 for Rajshahi against Chittagong in October 2017. The following year, he made his List-A debut, featuring in his maiden T20 game for Sylhet Sixers in the Bangladesh Premier League 2018-19.

Interestingly, the Bogra-born became the first batter to hit three consecutive centuries in Youth ODIs history, and he achieved this feat in the U19 home series against Sri Lanka in 2019.

The elegant batter served as the vice-captain of Bangladesh in the U-19 World Cup 2020. He contributed 114 runs in five games and helped the Tigers to seal their maiden U19 title.

In the 2021-22 Bangladesh Cricket League, the 22-year-old slammed 217, which was his first double century in the First-Class format.

Hridoy emerged as the third-highest run-getter of the BPL 2022-23 with 403 runs in 13 innings, with five fifties to his name. The naturally gifted batter earned a call-up to the national side for the ODI and T20I against England in February 2023. He has impressed each and everyone playing with good positive intent against England and Ireland, getting an excellent start to his career.
