Player Bio

A left-arm seamer known for bamboozling opponents with his pace and swing, Imran Khan is a professional cricketer for Pakistan. Hailing from Swat District, he played district cricket for Swat in the Peshawar division of the Inter-District Senior Tournament.

Having been selected in the Peshawar Panthers’ squad for the 2014–15 Haier T20 Cup, he went on to play seven matches and scalped eight wickets in the tournament, the most by any bowler. On his domestic T20 debut against the Lahore Eagles, Imran took 4/25 from four overs, and unsurprisingly he was named Man of the Match.

On the back of impressive domestic performances, Imran was selected by the Board for the shortest format against Zimbabwe. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Zimbabwe on September 27, 2015. Although he went wicketless on his debut, his economical bowling helped Pakistan defend the small target of 136 by 13 runs. The following year, Imran was signed by the PSL giants Peshawar Zalmi as an attacking bowler in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
