India then suffered another blow with Kohli's dismissal for a five-ball duck. The side was in a spot of bother at 64/2 before Rahul and Rishabh pant joined hands to provide the resistance. They put up 115 runs for the third wicket and both the batsmen notched up individual fifties.

While KL scored 55, Pant struck a brisk 85 during the course. But the Proteas again got back on track with three quick wickets which included the dismissals of Rahul, Pant, and Shreyas Iyer. India eventually put up 287/6 in 50 overs on the board.
