India’ Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane were already facing heat for their batting performance and Pujara has now added fuel to the fire that would put him further under the scanner.
In one of the overs from Jasprit Bumrah in the second innings of the third Test, Pujara dropped a sitter.
South Africa's Keegan Petersen had edged one to the slips and the ball went straight to Pujara who failed to grab it.
South Africa were handed a target of 212 runs and were 145/2 at the time of writing. Petersen had notched up another fifty while Rassie van der Dussen was at 16.
Earlier, the visitors had rode on a fantastic ton from Rishabh Pant to put 198 on the board. Apart from him, skipper Virat Kohli showed some resistance and patience while batting but only added 29 off 143 to the total.
