The Royal London One-Day Cup 2022 season saw eight teams from Group A crossing swords against each other on Sunday, August 7. Here is a look at how each of the four games panned out.

Leicestershire vs Sussex

The match at Hove completely turned out to be one-way traffic as Sussex bowled out Leicestershire for a meagre 120 courtesy of a spectacular bowling performance from Ari Karvelas and Delray Rawlins.

Karvelas wrecked the batting line up of Leicestershire by bagging four wickets and conceding just 21 runs in his spell of eight overs. Delray Rawlins, meanwhile, picked three four 22 in 5.4 overs to register the best bowling figures in List A cricket.

In reply, Alaistair Orr (40-ball 44) and Tom Clark (51-ball 53) turned the chase into a cakewalk and finished off the match in just 18.1 overs with eight wickets in hand.

Warwickshire vs Surrey

The match ended in a tie as Surrey batter Matt Dunn, who played a sensational knock of 20-ball 34 at backend got bowled out in the final over with one required.

Warwickshire, after opting to start with the bat went on to post 293 runs for the loss of five wickets in the first innings courtesy Michael Burgess, who fell just 7 runs short of his century and India international all-rounder Krunal Pandya's 74 off 82 balls.

Surrey, in reply crawled to 293 runs in 49 overs, major credit goes to Nick Kimber, who played a brilliant knock of 51-ball 84. Nico Reifer (53) and Josh Blake (40) were other vital contributors with the bat.

Somerset vs Gloucestershire

Gloucestershire skipper Jack Taylor returned with figures of 4 for 31 before punching down unbeaten 77 with the bat to take his side home with five wickets in hand and more than seven overs remaining.

Somerset's decision of batting first backfired them big time as the Gloucestershire bowlers ran riot bowling out the side for just 199 runs in 47.4 overs. Lewis Goldsworthy top scored for the team with 66 off 103 balls.

From the visitors's bowling point of view, apart from Taylor, Tom Smith was the most economical bowler, conceding just 29 runs in his quota of 10 overs and picking up two wickets.

The hosts, in reply chased down the total victory target of 200 in 42.5 overs with Jack Taylor and Marcus Harris top scoring with 77 and 59 runs respectively. For Somerset, Kasey Aldridge was the most successful bowler with two wickets in his bag.

Durham vs Middlesex

It was once again a sour finish for the hosts as Middlesex carved out an easy nine wickets victory over Durham on Sunday at Chester-le-street.

The Indian seamer Umesh Yadav and English right-arm spinner Luke Hollman wreaked havoc on Durham batting line up, bundling them out for 268 in 49.2 overs.

While Umesh returned with the figures of five for 33, Hollman had 4/68 in his spell of 10 overs. In reply, Middlesex reached rhe target in just 41.1 overs courtesy skipper Stephen Eskinazi's career-best 146 off 132.
